I am writing partly a review and partly a huge apology. About a year ago, I was getting ready to move out of my apartment in Kips Bay. We had greatly appreciated the years of restful sleep we had, thanks to New York Window Fashion’s custom motor blackout curtains for our floor to ceiling windows. The process was explained clearly, there were many different materials and colors to choose from, the shades were measured perfectly, and the company was highly communicative throughout. So when it was time to remove the shades before moving out, they were no different in their response and expediency.
But after the two guys from the company left the apartment, I noticed I was missing a few pieces of jewelry from my jewelry box, which was left out in the open on my dresser right next to the windows where the men were working. I am incredibly detail oriented and fastidious. I always have a home for my things so I never lose them. I looked and looked everywhere and could not find them. Unfortunately, I assumed the jewelry was stolen. My husband asked me if I was 100% sure and I thought I was.
Of course, yesterday, a year later, I just found the missing jewelry in a backpack I rarely use. I still have zero recollection of how they got there. I told my husband and he promptly removed his negative review. If anyone saw the negative review I am referring to, PLEASE FORGET IT.
I apologize deeply to New York Window Fashion for the negative impact that review may have had on your business. I am sorely regretful of my assumption and false accusation. I also recall the owners of the company replying that they trusted their work family and stood by them. You were right, and respect to you for trusting in your people. I truly hope there was no negative outcome for the involved employees.
Thank you for your exceptional service, and I hope your business continues to thrive despite this...
Read moreAnother very happy costumer!
When I called New York Window Fashion (NYWF) I had no idea about how broad the world of windows treatment could be. I (sort of) knew what I wanted but felt pretty much lost with the many alternative to choose from. I will forever be grateful for the friend who recommended me to contact NYWF saying: “they will take a good care of you”. Oh, and they deliver! First, when I called they gave me a 101 short explanation about the world of windows treatment. The different options (manual; auto; wires; batteries; blocking light; see through; fabric; colors). Second, they joined me to my apartment walk through to take measurements and making sure they can fit the best treatment of my new place. On sight, they showed me different fabrics and pictures of projects they did in the past and we discussed what could work for me. The same day, I received an email with a proposal. Next, I visited the showroom to make the final decision on fabrics, motors and remotes. Since I was about to move shortly after they promised to make an expedited order and to install something temporary in case order is not deliver fast enough (to make sure I would have enough privacy with these big windows). Order made it on time and installation happened first thing in the morning after I moved it. My new shades are beautiful! They are all NYWF promised and more. They merged perfectly with the apartment, block/show the light depends on my mood, easily and quietly get up and down… I’m so happy! The team left the apartment clean and organized like they never even there and follow up with an email to make sure I’m happy with the result and asking me to contact them with any question/request. Great product. Great costumer service. These days, this is not an easy thing to...
Read moreWe engaged the firm about six weeks ago for installing motorized blinds in our NYC apartment. They were nothing short of excellent - from initial meeting, consultation through execution - which included addressing a significant problem which was not at all their doing. Throughout the process, they were most professional and gracious - with the owner Yaniv most attentive and involved, and the supervisor of the engagement Kim superb - managing a strong, competent team. In regard to the problem: the building management misinformed Window Fashions regarding the positioning of the radiant heat pipes in the ceiling so this led to a small water leak which had to be addressed. Window Fashions went into high gear in addressing the leak - insurance, contractor, plumber, painter, etc. We, as customers, were entirely insulated from the process. Everything was fixed to as though nothing had happened. WF has worked in the area and within our building - and they lived up to the excellent recommendations they received prior to...
