NYC Walking Tours — Local services in New York

I can't say enough good about Frank and NYC walking tours. My family and I took a 12 day cross country trip and my husband and I agree the day with with Frank was the very best part! I looked into several tour companies and NYC Walking Tours was the most affordable and the most customizable. Frank and I spoke several times prior to our trip to NYC, he checked in regularly and made up an itinerary for us He customized the trip to include everything we were looking for, he was flexible and changed the day when weather was looking questionable. Frank was SO helpful with our 4 young kids, carrying them and finding all the bathrooms and the best food for them. He was so patient and our kids loved him!

We would have never been able to see a fraction of the sites on our own. Frank was efficient but spent enough time at each site. The best part of the tour with Frank is his personal touch. He shares history and stories from his own experience of being born and raised in the NY area. You can tell tours are not just a job, but a passion and a way to share the history of his city. My family and I will for sure be doing another tour...

I cannot recommend this tour (birth of punk) more highly, it was amazing and the absolute highlight of our trip to NYC (from UK). Jesse was quick to get back to me and accomodating too (I ended up booking a private tour around availablity) and the tour itself was absolutely fascinating, seeing and hearing about all the truly iconic people and places and the intriguing social history associated with it. Jessie is no ordinary tour guide, he's an expert enthusiast (and published author) on the subject. His passion, his personality and his knowledge shine through brightly, he's charming and respectful and flexible to any questions from the group.

I thought I knew a lot about punk rock but I gained lots of new information, unique insight and some wonderful new stories to ponder on, and most importantly I left with a smile on my face.

Frank was AMAZING!!! We did the walking tour as soon as we arrived to New York. He met us in the Lobby of our hotel right on time, ready to go! We would have NEVER gotten to experience so much of the city without Frank! He took us to so many different areas and taught us how to use the subway! Because of Frank we felt comfortable exploring the city by ourselves for the rest of our trip! I have had several people look at our pictures from our trip and say, “Wow! You’ve seen more of New York than I have and I’ve been there many times!” That is all thanks to Frank!!!! He is very kind and knowledgeable and indulged my need for several New York snack stops!
