We had such a wonderful experience at O Couture while shopping for my daughter’s Sweet 16 dress. From the moment we walked in, Loretta who is the owner along with Kim her staff member were warm, friendly, and attentive. They didn’t just leave us to figure things out on our own—they were with us through the entire process, offering thoughtful suggestions and helping us narrow down options that really fit my daughter’s vision and personality.

What really stood out was how personal they made the experience. Loretta even allowed us to FaceTime to confirm additional materials for the dress, which showed how much they cared about getting every detail just right. My daughters came in today. They were so excited seeing that there was a 5 star dress boutique in Staten Island. I asked my oldest daughter who is an adult, to drive them and supervise them since I’m at work. The moment they walked in, they weren’t even greeted nicely. Instead, got a judging face and asked “do you guys have an appointment?”. They were walk-in(which they accept) but my girls were super polite and asked if they can see around. The lady said next time bring your mom! NONE OF THOSE GIRLS IN THE STORE HAD A MOM!!! Note those girls were also white high school girls. My girls were girls of color, so obviously it was somewhat racially motivated. Later on my daughter called back to make an appointment. She stated that they were there before and again the lady on the phone was rude. She said in the rudest tone that we should’ve made an appointment a month before. And added bring your mom next time.
