Moved to Parc Coliseum in April 2016, just a month after arriving in NY. I have relocated with my company and after a month in a hotel, found this place purely by accident while walking on the Upper West. Location is simply perfect ! I am working in midtown and I walk to work, 30 mins each way. Most of my daily commute is done through the Central Park which is perfect (the park is only 7 min walk away). You have all amenities at the doorstep – restaurants, metro, bank, gym, park, river, literally everything. The moving in process was extremely simple. Safia was really responsive and showed me an apartment withing 24h of contacting her. Even though I have just moved over from the UK , simple paperwork such as bank statements, employment contracts were enough to get me going. Everything is done electronically so the process couldn’t be simpler.
The concierge Team is great as well, amongst them Pedro and Howard. They are extremely understanding when it comes to large deliveries, they can even place the items in the apartment if requested. Always with a smile and a helping hand when one carries load a load of shopping form the nearby Trader Joe’s. I have even been passed a box of tissues when coming back breathless from my run. Wonderful guys.
Now over to the Service Team. Team is based on site, special thanks to Danny, addressing all those little service issues – starting from how do I operate this oven to noisy aircon. The team responds within few hours to any niggling issues. Very often the head of that team Nizam will contact me to check if all was okay and I hay with the level of service I received. Very approachable and focused on a client satisfaction.
The whole move was extremely easy and Parc Coliseum is a great place to live. The team onsite feels more like an extended family and the location puts you right in the middle of it all, especially when one is new...
Read moreI lived here for a year and a half. The concierge staff are amazing, very friendly and receptive.
The management is focused on profit and strives to navigate the legal measures imposed by the city of New York with fluidity. Following the end of the lease, Equity Residential increased our rate by 50%. Additionally, while negotiating the contract, the 60 day renewal date passed. Despite still in negotiation they charged us for going past the sixty day mark. We moved out on April 1st, following the move out they changed the keys and would not let us re-enter the apartment. Despite this, Equity Residential charged us till the middle of the April for going past the sixty day mark. The move-out process was abrasive and shallow.
Additionally, there was immense staff turnover at the management level while only residing at the apartment for a year and a half, making the point of contact continually changing without any background knowledge of our situation.
The apartments are nice, but the management is soulless and I would recommend looking elsewhere...
Read moreI lived in Parc for a year, at first I was very happy about it (except for constantly not working elevators and dirty laundry room, including a roach inside the machine), but as I moved out, it just got ugly. They offered me a new lease with 1700$ raise (now listed lower than what they offered me), then they charged me for cleaning (they expect pristine cleanliness that only professional cleaner will achieve, I spent days scrubbing everything), and they charged for apt painting! There was just regular wear on the walls, some minor scratches. They said it took them over 9h to repaint, so that's why they charged me. As if they would not repaint for a new tennant anyway. The scratches were so minor, just normal for when a person lives for a year that it just makes me laugh at what they expect to see (no miniscule dot of dust I guess). These greedy corporate opportunists will rip you off. Stay away from Equity Residentials. Left a bad...
