I told this company I needed a 20x20 foot tent, and they said they would send someone to measure the space at a cost of $75, and gave me an initial quote of $650+tax. They said that if I then rented a tent, the $75 measurement would go towards the balance of the payment. The next day, someone comes to measure and take photos of the space, and I then don't hear back from them for the remainder of the day despite them promising me to send over a finalized quotation. So I call the following day to chase up, and they finally send me over a quote for $4,000 (compared to their initial $650 promise). When I call to clarify the huge discrepancy, they then tell me that they in fact have no 20x20 tents available anyway! I demand that they reimburse me the $75 for the measurement, which was just a waste of my time since they didn't have a tent with the dimensions I needed, and they never even gave me the opportunity to book one - they refused to reimburse my money. To top it all off, the manager just clearly couldn't care less that they have put me an impossible position 2 days before my event, and he was completely rude and unprofessional over the phone. I hired A-1 for a small job so that I could host Thanksgiving in a tiny NYC apartment. I was able to rent just a long table, 6 chairs, linens, and an ice tub.
