This doctor is incompetent. Don't go to him, even if he is the only podiatrist with available appointments for months. Not worth the risk and he can't be trusted.
Its taken me a long time to write this review because I struggled with my foot for so long after his mistakes. I went to him in July 2023 to talk me through options for managing foot pain (plantar fasciitis) ahead of my wedding in Italy which was happening in 9 days. While I was sitting in the patient chair, with my shoes off, asking about steroid shots, risks, benefits, etc, he went ahead and gave me the shot. He didn't formally ask for my consent, he didn't have me sign anything, he didn't do an ultrasound to guide the needle. I learned later that Podiatrists ALWAYS use ultrasound to guide a needle in the foot. But he didn't bother. I asked him clearly, "What are the risks of the shot? What are the chances my pain will get worse?" And he replied "There are no risks" and proceeded to give me the shot before I had a chance to consent. What he did to me was wrong.
As a result of this Doctors mistakes I suffered so much and it completely ruined my wedding. I had increased pain (10x worse than before shot). For two days after the shot I couldn’t even move my middle two toes. I couldn't stand for more than 5 minutes without tonnes of pain- even two weeks after the shot. And, I literally couldn’t walk more than 100 steps the week of my wedding. I was on so many painkillers just to get through. It was a nightmare. Every time I stepped down on my foot it felt like a huge bundle of nerves was being stepped on. Here is the photo of the bruise. At night I would wake up to nerve pain and pangs in my foot. The night before my wedding I was up at 2 am crying because of the pain, and because I knew I wouldn't be able to walk properly or dance at my own reception. It took my 1 year for the nerve pain caused by the misguided steroid shot to heal. There is no cure for nerve pain - the nerves have to regrow and heal on their own. It took me another 5 months to strengthen the foot muscles. Here is a picture of the bruise of my foot caused by his misguided steroid shot. Remember that a steroid shot is SURGERY. DO NOT LET THIS DOCTOR NEAR YOUR FEET.
I wish I had never trusted this doctor. Don't trust his fancy Harvard degrees or his office, or go for the convenience - he has so many open appointments. Not worth it. Ruined my wedding as I couldn't...
