Great location. With some small tweaks could be amazing! I think the interior needs a small update. I’ve tried all the instructors and there’s not really any consistency in how they teach and what the classes are like.
The music is in the background can barely be heard, there are foam mats on each reformer that are impossible to actually clean
Instructor wise: a lot of talking while working out, one teacher teaches the same class every time, no counting (!!), not a lot of constructive corrections or adjustments offered, one time an instructor had us doing squats and pushups next to and on the reformer backwards… not Pilates and hurt my knees
I will be continuing because I really like one of the instructors. She has different classes each time, gives helpful corrections, and starts on time (oops sorry some other classes start late and we finish on time… that’s time taken)
Great potential I know running a business is extremely hard so I hope this helps the business and it continues to do well. Just looking for classes that feel structured and for a place that consistently develops a...
Read moreMembership sitch: Buy individual classes instead of a membership if you’re trying to go here. You will probably not be able to book for a week/weeks. Classes are always full because they’re very small and personal (not even 15 minutes after they open up they’re waitlisted). All week, every week. Owner said that waitlists fall through all the time but that’s your decision if you want to risk it that often. Cheaper just to membership somewhere else if you’re trying to be consistent and go here if you can afford personal individual classes. 5 stars because I’m sure their classes are great if you get in and the tightness is more personal than other studios, so if you’re looking for that or the Greenpoint beer community this is perfect for you! But my experience was spending $92 on one class a week from now, three weeks into my monthly membership, even with reminders on- and I just would have liked to known...
Read moreI've been coming here for a couple years. As a person with many chronic health conditions but also a former dancer, this studio is perfect for anyone who wants to approach fitness and wellness through a Pilates-based lense. As a physical therapist, strength and conditioning coach, and fellow Pilates instructor, I love that this is a studio based on evidence-based health, promotes HAES, and has a genuinely positive community. I've been to a lot of Pilates studios and courses, and the culture the Kaseedee has created here is exactly what I and so many others need. Health isn't how you look, and the environment here feels like true health and wellness, not just the "wellness core" fads that many places try to curate. I recommend this studio all the time to friends, neighbors, and my own patients...
