Unfortunately, I am really upset with my experience here. I tried to find a new nail salon on the UES because my powder dip nails were only lasting 2.5 weeks before peeling off. This salon is spacious and very clean so I thought I'd give it a try.
The polish removal process was pretty painful because the nail tech was pressing too hard with the e-file. Then they put my hands in warmers to help speed up the removal process and make it more effective which was actually lovely and definitely worked, every place should do this.
Ally did my nails and was extremely thorough which I was grateful for. The cost was $60 plus tip. Normally it is $55 but I got a tip extension on one of my broken nails. The next day, one nail chipped. Fine, I thought it was just a fluke so I went back to get it fixed. Mina fixed it with no problem and I tipped another $5.
The following day, 3 more nails chipped and the one they redid peeled off completely. $78 for a manicure that has only lasted 4 days (barely). I unfortunately will not be going back...
Read moreThis would have been 5 stars had it not been ruined by my last experience! I booked in with a specific person who wasn’t there so I was seen by somebody different which was a shame as I’d specified for a reason! When having the polish removed, the nail technician proceeded to overly file my nails and as a result they almost felt paper thin and in terrible condition. One nail began to burn and when I looked it was so think you could feel how thin the nail had become. Since then the nail has felt bruised! The SNS powder was not done to the normal quality with chips appearing within 2-3 days. Normally they last a week! I’ve now resorted to removing the polish myself because I’m so disappointed with the service! I won’t be coming back as I want to actually keep my nails!
Update on review - my nails are badly damaged and the one nail that was filed too thin is still bruised and red! I’ve never had so much damage caused to my...
Read moreWent to get a pedicure today and unfortunately it was poor experience. Watched them not clean a chair after another one guest left and another girl sat down for her pedicure. During my pedicure, she complained when I asked her to cut my toes a little shorter. Uneven nails, hardly filed, and barely scrubbed the bottoms. She grabbed a random pair of flip flops when painting my nails unclear if they were clean. Then when I went to dry my feet she rushed me out the door after I half dried. She took the same flip flops that were on me and put them on another customer's feet. I got home and after taking my shoes off the polish was definitely not dry and they were a mess. Overpriced, waste of $45. I dumped alcohol all over my feet to sanitize. Will never go back - beware of the...
