Bottom line: delicious Colombian dishes at standard NYC prices. Service on my visit was ridiculously slow. Gluten line: lots of options, including a plate of 3 different of gluten free breads including pan de bono. Hell yeah! Long line: overall the place is great. We arrived during happy hour and enjoyed a mojito and caipirinha. We perused the menu and were obviously excited about the bread, and it showed up nice and quick! That's where the fun ended though. We decided we wanted to try the Tostones Cubiertos. Once we ordered that, we noticed that time and time passed (20+ mins) and no one had come to check on us. We had empty water cups and empty drinks. We finally got their attention and ordered another round. Another 15 mins pass and we notice that there aren't that many other people around to warrant so long for the dish. We ask for an update and the gentleman says he'll check. 10 mins later and after walking around the whole place checking on everyone else, he finally goes back into the kitchen and we finally get our dish. Since this all took so long we decided to forgo a 3rd round for fear we'd be done with the food by the time they finally came. Overall there was much to like, but service dropped by the ball midway in a bad way. Maybe they were just short staffed, but the way the staff present acted you'd think nobody had anything important to do.

Me and my family were excited to have found a Colombian Restaurant near us compared to going to Queens. But it was definitely not what we expected. Food had no flavor, it was not cooked like we asked and the portion was kiddie size. The smoothies did not taste yummy like I'm used to. The meat was too bloody. The area was squeeshy. Price was too high but again it's Manhattan so it did not surprise me as much. To my point, will have to Travel to Queens for better Colombian Food. Gave two 🌟 because wish this place to be better and soon. So owner responded today April 12th: Says they are sorry that I did not like their flavorless food and wish that Queens can provide better flavor. Seems that Manhattan is used to non flavor food. Not me. I have live in Manhattan long enough to know which restaurants have Real Flavor for me. I am only sorry that I expected more from a Colombian Restaurant. The price was not much of a surprise since I work in Citi Hall and Live in Manhattan. The location was perfect but the flavorless food was not. Wont be ordering again as the OWNER seems to NOT CARE WHAT WE THINK OR WANT!

The food and drinks are great BUT when we got the bill, my impression on this place completely changed. First, they added 18% gratitude to the bill automatically. There’s only a small line of words on the check articulating this and if you don’t look close enough, you are probably gonna miss it and add another portion of tip. This is the first time I’ve seen a restaurant doing this in nyc. I honestly think there’s nothing special about the service that deserved 18% of gratitude. What’s more shady is that the bill came back with more money charged on our cards! So I checked the items on the receipt and found one thing that we never ordered and that item was not there when we first received the bill and before we handed our cards! To me, this is a really disgusting move. The waitress did apologize for this mistake and refund the money but I really felt that she was not actually sorry for it. So be careful with the bill when you eat here. The photo below is just to prove that I’ve actually dined there and this review is 100% honest.

Absolutely terrible! 100% do not recommend. Rosia is not nice. Terrible service! The steak was hardly steak, mostly fat. NASTY!!! Chicharron was hardly edible, it was way overcooked. I imagine it similar to chewing on a rock. Then the $10 sharing fee! The restaurant was completely empty. (Now i know why it was empty) My wife ordered empanadas and I ordered bendeja Pisa. Her sister had nothing! We were charged $10 sharing fee when no one shared??? They didn't even bring out an extra plate but charge sharing fee? I understand if it was full and needed the seat but it was empty and NO ONE SHARED!!! NOT EVEN AN EXTRA PLATE.....Then 18% auto gratuity for a rude slow server. WHAT A JOKE!! THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE!! THE SERVICE WAS WORSE THAN THE FOOD!!!! DISGUSTING AND DISSAPOINTING!

THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE!! THE SERVICE WAS WORSE THAN THE FOOD!!!! DISGUSTING AND DISSAPOINTING!

THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE!! THE SERVICE WAS WORSE THAN THE FOOD!!!! DISGUSTING AND DISSAPOINTING!

Response to owner: FOOD wasn't good. All the other 1 star reviews show that. Take the space???????? RESTAURANT WAS EMPTY

RESTAURANT WAS EMPTY. Hope you got the message buddy. Also I'm sure everyone reading this will get the message you're rude and make no sense. Take the spa e of an empty restaurant???? Please explain....

2nd response to owner after you changed your original response. No one complained about your prices, they are fair! You just completely contradicted yourself. So you are in agreement the restaurant was empty but still charged because "I took up space" so get your story straight. Also if you charge a "sharing fee" AT LEAST BRING OUT AN EXTRA PLATE! Are you saying you're not family friendly? I brought a sleeping baby in a stroller and you complain about our baby taking space in your EMPTY restaurant! Sorry I brought my family! I GOT YOUR MESSAGE PAL: NOT A FAMILY ESTABLISHMENT!!!!

Owner: Why did you remove you telling me "HOPE YOU GOT THE...

The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Did not deliver full order, and when I called I was told that they didn’t have particular menu items which is why it was not delivered. They never notified me. They would not take responsibility for it, and made me call chownow...only to have chownow call the restaurant back to ask for a refund, and the restaurant would not refund our request - which is stealing! By far the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced with restaurant in nyc in 15 years. Will never go there or order from there again and recommend caution when ordering from them.

Update. They did not credit me immediately. I had to call the restaurant. And then the restaurant told me to take it up with chownow (to be clear, I went to your website and ordered through your website which uses the chownow service as the only online ordering option). I called chownow and they said that the restaurant had not authorized a credit but instead asked that menu be updated. So chownow then called the restaurant and asked for the credit of the item and the portion of tip allocated to such item. The manager apparently refused to credit the portion of the tip. So there is no confusion on my end. It’s just a mistake that no one cared to notify me about missing items and then terrible customer service and then taking a 20% tip on the portion of the order that was never delivered!! The right thing to do, and the easy thing to do, would have been to notify me that my order couldn’t be delivered because it wasn’t available tonight, or if that failed to then credit it yourself instead of the run around or to bring something else, and then failing all of that to then credit me at the very least the tip of the portion of the order never delivered. It’s not hard to at least act like you care, especially...

The food is good and the service was just fine. The place was pretty empty when me and my bf were there. I’m giving it 2 stars because they include an 18% tip in the bill, AND if you don’t read your bill well enough, you may end up tipping twice (tipping on the bill that ALREADY includes the tip). My bf and I noticed the INCLUDED 18% tip after we payed. When i told the lady by the cashier that no one had told me about the 18% included tip, she said that the information was included in the menu. I asked her to show me where, and they pointed at the end of the menu, like the VERY END, where in fact it said about the INCLUDED 18% in the tiniest font ever!!! I’m Colombian myself, and I was so excited to try a Colombian restaurant while in NYC, but I do not like to be taken advantage of. Such a dishonest thing to do.

  • Updated Review After Response From The Business

I am sorry to responder, but you must be confusing me by another complaining customer. No voices were raised during my conversation with the host and the server. And, the included tip was much more than $6.

I understand the employees at the restaurant don't make the rules about these things, so I don't take it out on them. I also have no issue tipping, especially if I liked the food and service at a place, like I did at your restaurant. What I disliked was that the charge of the tip felt very sneaky. I feel that the mandatory 18% tip disclaimer was purposely put in an obscure location and in a very small font, with the intent to be overlooked until the bill comes. If it was clearer from the start that there was an included tip, I would not have had a problem, and I would still have stayed at...
