Quay Tower — Local services in New York

The building and amenities are wonderful . The apartments themselves are beautiful and have incredible views. The staff are lovely! However, the units were cheaply done in many ways. . The fixtures break easily, we have been there less than 6 months and some have already broken . There is virtually no lighting and although we were told most people added lighting, we were not told of the restriction for installing them. With daylight savings time this week the lack of lighting became an issue. We found out today that people cannot add lighting under the sheetrock, it must be surface mounted. This was what we were told “Surface mounted means that all fixtures shall be mounted to the surface of the sheetrock rather than housed within, including wiring. You would have to run wiring in a casing if you do not want them exposed.” This is a limitation I would not expect in a new building. It is a major design flaw in my opinion that the buyer...
