Discover Fornino, an unexpected treasure nestled in Brooklyn Bridge Park. Upon arrival, it may seem like your typical pizza joint, but follow Ingrid upstairs and step into a whole new atmosphere. Witness the chefs crafting pizza masterpieces while the vibrant music sets the mood. Venture further to find a surprise—a volleyball court reminiscent of Miami Swim Week. Start your culinary journey with tantalizing appetizers like the Fried Smashed Potatoes, Anna Rosa's Meatballs, and refreshing salads including Caesar and Watermelon. Don't miss out on their signature Watermelon Frozen Drink, a perfect companion for a warm day. Now, onto the main event—the pizzas. Indulge in their thin yet satisfying pies like the Corn & Spicy Honey, adorned with mixed mushrooms, caciocavallo, mozzarella, pecorino, and a hint of white truffle oil. Savor the fiery kick of the Calabrese pie, featuring tomato, mozzarella, sopressata piccante, parmesan, and aromatic oregano. Lastly, relish the flavors of the Spinach pie, topped with mixed mushrooms, caciocavallo, mozzarella, pecorino, and a drizzle of white truffle oil. Fornino Pizza has effortlessly secured its place in my top 5 must-visit spots in Brooklyn!

I give this place a 3 star because of the smashed Fried potatoes were very good, and their customer service was okay. I ordered the wrong Pizza they were polite enough to help me out, although there was a prize difference the one I originally ordered was more expensive than the one I end up with, they did not put the price difference back on my card which I think was not fair. I did not want to argue with them for a $4 dollars difference so I let it go. I will never go back to this place again, and will not recommend. The pizza was horrible we only ate two slices the ingredients are not fresh at all the source taste like it’s from a can. If It was for the pizza I would give this place a 1 star, the price they charging not worth it at all. It okay if you charge a lot at least have fresh quality food. Never again will this place get my money.

I had a reservation here today, 8.29.2021 at noon, and I regret it. The hostess today (white and navy blue striped shirt, faded black pants, red lipstick) was just rude and nasty to me for no reason! All of the other servers and staff persons were cordial and friendly, but from the second I walked onto the rooftop with my baby in response to my rsvp text stating that my table was ready, she just kept giving me attitude. I CHOSE to have a good day and to not put her in her place. After my cousin arrived, she said that we could have the table for two hours, then defensively proceeded to remind me that she'd told me that when I first arrived, even though I did not say anything back to her!!! She was just arguing with herself! We knew that, I had not forgotten, and I'd told my cousin this before she and her baby arrived. My cousin picked up on her attitude and spoke to her, repeating to her that it was fine to move us, etc. The hostess did all that only for the party that requested the tables to have chosen to eat downstairs anyway. A sandwich I'd mistakenly ordered had a long, fine, straight black hair in it, so I returned it. She proceeded to TRY to grill me, saying that she didn't notice it before. I calmly explained to her that the hair was there, my baby pulled it out. It certainly wasn't OUR hair texture, it looked more like hers! Then she huffed and gave me a stink face and walked off with it. The manager came and refunded me, gave me my receipt and was polite and cordial about it (no apology though). She didn't even give us the high chairs I'd selected with my RSVP. My baby fell off the bench, face first onto the concrete floor. The hostess promised to get ice, but returned to our table three times without it and the whole time looked at and spoke only to my cousin, as if I wasn't there. Funny thing is, I am the one who ordered the most food, making three different orders, and I tipped well each time. The fourth time she returned I asked her about the ice, and she brought it eventually.

The food was delicious, and, as I've stated, the servers were wonderful. The hostess needs to be replaced....

Cool rooftop spot for drinks with a fantastic view of Manhattan. The pizza is pretty good too. Edit I have been back here a few times since my initial 4 star review. I now give it 2 stars. I really want to like this place, but unfortunately I can't see myself coming back. I will say the pizza is delicious. But... It's $14 - $18 a pie and they are small 4 slice pies. The cocktails are way overpriced as well. Yes, this place is on the pier with fantastic views of Manhattan, but at the end of the day it is a pizza place. Not a high-end restaurant that demands $14 a cocktail. I would pay $10 max based on the small size. On my last visit, there was an insanely long wait for a table, and the bartender was extremely rude and looked as if she'd rather be anywhere else in the world than at work. My final straw is that the bathrooms are not exclusive to the restaurant. Meaning that they are open to anybody that is walking by in Brooklyn Bridge Park. They are absolutely disgusting. There are overflowing toilets and drug addicts in the restroom. My sister witnessed a heroin addict leave the bathroom stall right after shooting up. There is no toilet paper and the sinks might as well not even be there. The bathrooms are a step above a port-a-potty. If you are going to be charging premium prices for food and drinks I would expect the rest of the experience to be on par. I should not have to feel like I am using a port-a-potty at a concert with a bunch of disgusting drunken idiots. I will...

Forninos used to be great--Before the Covid pandemic. NOW it is twice overpriced, much less quality ingredients, and half the size of what their food used to be just 1or 2 years ago. Everything has gotten smaller by 30%, including their drink cups---"Shrinkflation” on top of "inflation." They have joined the greedy price gauging corporations thieves.

We are now boycotting! We do not recommend Forninos anymore. Go at your own price-risk and quality-risk.

The details: The Brooklyn Bridge Park location, first floor, Sunday, June 9, 2024 - We ordered the same Pizza we have gotten for over 10 years; it was (maybe) the same circumference aluminum dish size, but 30% less ingredients all around and 30% more expensive. That is a 60% price-hike in a couple of years!! And then, to top it off, we ask for the manager, a young man in late 20s, who comes over and declares he has "been here for for 9 years and the Pizza has been the same size." Wrong -fn- answer!! The right answer is "We'll take it off your billl?" or, "Can we get you something else?" or, “Were very sorry, we will tell the kitchen and the owner.” After 9 years, a "manager" would be trained better. Is there no training?

But it gets better, he says, (the "manager") let me get you somebody to talk to." And walks away. Who was he getting, security?? He never came back. We left and are now boycotting all the NYC Forninos locations. ...
