Recoverie - Wellness Club — Local services in New York

I was reluctant to write a review but decided to share my experience.

I absolutely loved the facility and services it offered. I won a free service at a local street fair & chose the red light therapy which was amazing. As a result, I purchased a package offered...(4) session for $175. (Do not quote me on the price, it occurred several months ago and I may have the introductory price wrong). I was going on vacation the end of July into August so decided to use the (4) sessions I paid for leading up to my vacation. The 1st session I chose was the heated sauna, which was also amazing! I completed my session and while scheduling my next visit was told I had a balance of $125! Apparently, the package I purchased (4 sessions for any of the services outlined in the introductory brochure). I asked to speak to the manager and was introduced to one of the owners. The woman literally told me "you were supposed to be charged "x" for this package which is $125 more than what you were charged. Rather than her apologize for the error and honor what I'd already paid for, she gave me the option of either paying the $125 difference or paying the $75 for the 1 service I had that day and refund me the balance. I chose to be refunded. As she was struggling to figure out how to deduct the $75 from what I'd paid, she instead go on to tell me NO ONE EVER CANCEL THEIR SERVICE HERE," as customers are coming in & out of the establishment. I have never been more embarrassed! Here's the kicker...HAD SHE HONORED WHAT I'D PURCHASED, I WOULD HAVE UPGRADED TO THE MONTHLY PACKAGE I SHOULD'VE BEEN OFFERED INITIALLY AFTER MY 4 SESSIONS!

I've NEVER experienced such unprofessionalism and would NEVER recommend this business to anyone.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting "Recoverie," a wellness center that left me thoroughly impressed and rejuvenated. From the moment I stepped in, the atmosphere exuded tranquility, and my experience with Siobhan and her staff was nothing short of exceptional.

One of the highlights of my visit was the opportunity to indulge in the center's core services – the infrared sauna and the cold plunge. The infrared sauna session was a revelation. The calming ambiance, coupled with the gentle warmth, provided a deeply relaxing experience. I could feel the tension melting away as the infrared heat worked its magic on both body and mind.

I am SO happy I signed up for Cryoslimming at Recoverie! Not only did I lose over 10 pounds in only 6 weeks, but my body feels better, lighter, healthier, and I fit into smaller clothes than ever before! Siobhan is amazing and made me feel so comfortable from the moment that I walked in. The cryoslimming itself doesn’t hurt at all - I did it on my lower stomach area and I honestly didnt find the cold that bad! After the initial feeling of the cold air hitting me, I just closed my eyes and the rest was completely bearable (and I am not usually a fan of cold temperatures). Siobhan not only freezes the fat cells though, she also helps your body get rid of them and the results speak for themselves. My lower stomach has never been this close to flat in my life! I also have such great conversations with Siobhan while there and I always looo forward to seeing her - she really makes going to Recoverie something to look forward to. The cryoslimming package also came with a free lymphatic compression massage which was HEAVENLY, a free nutritionist for 6 weeks who has been incredible in helping me manage my eating to keep the weight off, and free trial memberships to soo many different gyms and Pilates studios and other workout studios in the area - I did every single one and had so much fun!!! I can’t wait to get the results of my final body scan and compare them to my initial body scan - I know the change is going to be dramatic all thanks to Recoverie!
