I recently visited a barbershop named Randy's Barbershop and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. Firstly, the barbershop does not follow the state's guidelines when it comes to sanitation, which is a major concern given the current health situation. The place looked unclean and there was no visible effort to sanitize the equipment or surfaces before or after use.
Moreover, I had made an appointment beforehand and arrived on time, but had to wait an extra 20 minutes before being attended to. This shows that the barbershop has no respect for their clients' time, which is unacceptable.
The most concerning aspect of my experience, however, was the barber who attended to me. His name was Randy and he reeked of alcohol while cutting my hair. It was evident that he had been drinking before coming to work, which was not only unprofessional but also a safety hazard.
I felt extremely uncomfortable throughout the entire haircut and was afraid that the barber's lack of attention due to his intoxication could result in an injury. I left the barbershop feeling unhappy and unsafe, and would not recommend anyone to visit...
Read moreBarbershop full of extremely average barbers with the arrogance of seasoned pro’s. Just moved to East Harlem so was looking for a shop and a friend said they were okay so I decided to go to them since they are close. The first two times I got aggressively average haircuts, but the price was decent and it was convenient so decided to go back a third time. Mind you, the second time, I had to wait 5 minutes to get in the chair, which of course is not a big deal at all. However the third time I went (which was today) I walked in the shop at 2:01 and was told I would not be serviced because I was a minute late for my appointment at 2.
I’m not sure if these people are stupid and just don’t understand the reason that many successful businesses have a grace period or they just don’t like money, but at any rate it’s weird, especially given that I have waited in that barbershop before. Arrogant set of very average barbers, who are not worth the hassle. I’m sure they’ll reply with the same garbage they’ve been peddling under other people’s comments who call out this ridiculous behavior, not realizing that it’s costing...
Read moreI have never written a review before but this incident has me disheartened by the way customers are treated. I have been coming to this barbershop for 2 years after I walked in and was told that they book through an app. I moved to Harlem but never had a barber here because I went to my childhood barber in the Bronx. I saw recently that I was blocked on the app due to three cancellations ( which I never knew was policy) over the span of 2 years, I guess customer loyalty is not valued and they have so much business they don't feel the need to build relationships with the people they service. the reason I needed to cancel for my last appointment was I had a last minute meeting, I usually get my cut on my lunch break because I work from home. Side note: The short one with the glasses is rude as hell and treats customers very harshly. I was 3 minutes late ( because of traffic) and my barber was on vacation and he tried to cancel my appointment. READ CAREFULLY! The response to my review does not invalidate what...
