I guess I'm biased as i was raised in the catholic church. And although there was a long period of time went i didn't go to church i akways knew that i could always come back into the fold and I'd be welcome with open arms and that's exactly what my experience has been now that I've come back to the catholic church. This catholic church serves a long part of the latin community here in east harlem. Therefore most of the masses are conducted in latin which i completely understand because this is how the church conducted there mass back when i was younger. The priest not only gave my mom attitude when she approached him and had some questions for him, he also did not want to bless my child at the end of the service and told me that āGod told him that he can tell by looking in my child eyes that my child could not be blessedā. How disrespectful can you get? You would think that as a priest your calling is to bless and bring people closer to God. I am extremely disappointed and feel disrespected...

The new lighting, paint and freshened up decor in the Church & Rectory make this a Church you want to visit and stay a while, like the Churches in the more affluent neighborhoods. The administrative staff are very friendly and knowledgeable of Diocese protocol and procedures My only complaint is that St. Paul's Church is not wheelchair accessible and has many stairs; too bad for the elderly and sickly...
