Sam Edelman — Local services in New York

So i don’t normally complain but I was there the other day with my Latina friend and the sales people were all over her. Asking if she need help, assisting her to find sizes and everything. Practically hovering over her. Meanwhile I’m holding a shoe and trying to get someone’s attention but to be consistently ignored. When i finally get help, the lady brings the shoe and basically dropped it in the chair and left. I struggled to get the stuff out of the boot and tried the boot one. She sees me struggling with the size and doesn’t offer to bring a bigger size out. So I gave up and had to put the boot back in the box myself. I went to hand the boots back to a salesperson to again be ignored completely! I was so humiliated and walked right out! I get you don’t like my race but you’re in the retail business. Learn some respect or don’t be...

Very, very poor customer service. The two sales ladies were more concerned with discussing their nails and their hair as well as swiffering the floor than helping me out as a customer. Never greeted me upon entering the store, or asked if I needed help yet when an upscale couple entered (lady had a LV bag on her shoulder, well done hair, etc.), they got noticed right away. Long story short I ended up purchasing a pair of shoes...without trying them on because God forbid I inconvenience her with having to do that (luckily I know my size because I have a few pairs of SE shoes)...and the people that they just HAD to schmooze and act all friendly towards didn't even buy anything. Guess you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover; tourists DO buy things, no matter what...

Update on 4/29. The store is def more than rude. They are racist. I am asian and walked into store. They never greeted me and provided any help. They chitchated with each other. Later when two whites walked in. They smiled and greeted and offered help multiple times. It is very awful experience seeing staff like them. The service is very rude. The staff treated asian very rude. The staff is a young african American lady with dreadlocks. She smiled to other customers and gave me a rude face. I wanted to buy a pair of sandals and i found one but due to the rudebess I did not end up buying it. If there is 0 star in review, i Will give 0 Star to this...
