As probably most average men, I was a bit lost when it came to buying for my now fiancée, an engagement ring. After several days of doing online research on how and where to buy a ring in NYC, Sashka Jewelry kept showing up, from google reviews, yelp, online forums, etc. and they all mentioned the great experience they had with Isaac from Sashka. So I called him up and made an appointment, and made my way to the diamond district in NYC. A young lady and a young man greeted me and made me feel very welcomed, not pushy at all and started showing me the ring options they had, then Isaac showed up and I could understand why all the great reviews. Isaac was very straight up, to the point, and no nonsense approach. He asked me what my budget was, and based on that, he showed me several options of diamonds and rings, he took the time to explain the pros and cons of the different diamonds and was very patient with me. Once I was comfortable with the diamond and ring, he told me he would have it ready in three days. One day before pickup, I called him and asked him if he could engrave the inside of the ring, he did a great job. I proposed to my now fiancée last night, with a beautiful sunset at a remote beach. Right before COVID I had started to plot my proposal during a summer family vacation. Unfortunately much of my plans were on hold as retail stores shuttered and I was unwilling to purchase online. Luckily, stores reopened two weeks prior to our planned trip. The pressure to find a credible jeweler grew and so I decided why not give the famous NYC diamond district a shot. As soon as I stepped foot into the area I was immediately approached by people trying to lure me into stores. Of course this was expected based on previous research but it became overwhelming. I had yet to enter any store and almost called it a night before I ran into Shashka. It was one of very few stores on the strip where no one was outside trying to convince you to enter.
