Shiny nail&spa — Local services in New York

This nail salon is so thorough, clean, organized, and skilled at their craft. I’m writing from my 3rd time going to Shiny (formerly Reina), doing SNS manicures. The colors are vibrant, they are open to doing lots of different designs (3D stuff, airbrush, stickers, gems, French, glow in the dark, etc etc so fun!) , and the way the staff takes their time to file and match your set on your unique hand and fingers is sooooo thoughtful. It lasts me about 2-4 weeks (I’m a chef/artist/person who is using their hands for work a lot so that’s an alright amount of time for me👍.)

I’m excited to go back again, I’ve worked with 3 of the 4 techs and have so far had a lovely experience with all of them. They all approach nail art and nail care in their own ways and I love it. I had high hopes for this new ownershop - Don’t come here if you want attention to detail. spa gel pedicure by Lisa… she doesn’t polish corner to corner because she probably can’t see. She didn’t completely take off my previous red gel polish so you can still see the color on the edges.. Spa pedicure is a waste of money. Nothing about it was relaxing. Staff is screaming in their native language.

Jason did my polygel- cut me twice. Agree with a below review, cuticle cutters are not sanitized. Front desk area is full of dust. Place is dirty, prices are high and products are old.
