Not sure why others are leaving poor reviews. My friend has been coming here for 10+ years and highly recommended haircuts by Yo Yo. This week I decide to join her.

I got overall hair color, highlights, cut, and SNS powder nails with complicated design. Everybody in the salon was taking care of me, while taking care of other clients as well, and communication was flawless.

They were very efficient: nail technician lady ( I believe her name was Tina) took me right away while I was waiting for the dye to take, then she washed it off, continued working on my nails while somebody else dried my hair, then Yo Yo did the highlights, all while Tina was still finishing my nails. Then both of them worked on toning to make highlights and color blend well.

I got a little head massage, shoulder massage etc.

I requested complicated ombré/French/silver SNS powder design and Tina was able to make it work, my nails are beautiful for the holiday season!

Yo Yo is a magician with highlights and hair cut. I will only go to Yo Yo from now on. She did exactly what I asked for ( most importantly kept my hair long like I asked- you know a lot of hairdressers are scissor happy and chop 5 inches instead of requested 1-2) , and she pays so much attention to detail- she gave me beautiful layers, highlights are blended very well and look natural. She was working on my hair for a long time, literally hair by hair to make it look perfect!

I love the cut and the color/highlights! I will only go to Yo Yo from now on, even though it’s a long ride/tolls from NJ where I live, but it’s worth it.

All the employees were really nice. I was there for several hours because I was having a lot done, and Yo Yo even asked me if I was hungry and offered a cookie she happened to have with her. So sweet!

Overall I’m really happy with this salon and will definitely return even though it’s quite far for me. It’s always nice to find a hairdresser that listens to your wishes and tries her/his best to...

This was just a walk in, last minute decision to cut my hair and try a new style. The guy who cut my hair came out, saw the picture and that’s exactly what I got. The place seemed very clean to me, fair prices and yes, they speak in Chinese between, so what? For as long as I get what I asked and brushes, combs- everything is clean, what do I care what they are saying?.

Stay just as a hair salon… after having a great experience with my hair cut I decided to come back for a mani/pedi and acrylic nail removal. I specifically requested the have the liquid removal of acrylic.. Lisa, the lady who attended me decided that it was best to use a metrocard instead. I was my fault for not walking away the second I felt all the layers of my nails were separated from my nail bed. I asked twice if she could better ise the liquid and she said yes, but kept using the metro card.. she even left pieces of layers of the nail hanging they get stuck in my hair and clothing. At the end she recommended to not use nail polish… of course not! How would put nail polish in a rough canvas, with pieces of nails hanging? My nails are in such poor condition Im definitely not coming back. Not even for my hair.

If you are going for hair cut/style, try them! The guy is excellent, I don’t understand why such poor reviews. But if you are looking for many pedi or acrylic removal - just run away.- by the way, I have tried different nail salons in the area… just go to the nail salons in kings highway. Hopefully by the end of summer I will be able to have...

I came here for acrylics. Never coming here again. First off, they do not have a wide range of nail polish shades. Second off, the lady doing my nails, Lisa, was cutting my cuticles, which is something I know your not supposed to do, and while cutting my cuticles she left me bleeding! She did not even notice or apologize. She was working in a rush because other customers were waiting and was very rough when filing my nails- I genuinely thought my nail was about to fall off then and there! Now who knows what infections I might have from the cuts she gave me. Waste of money and time....
