If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience at this deli was completely ruined by the two individuals working the cold cut counter, whose behavior was nothing short of unprofessional and unwelcoming. Their lack of customer service, poor attitude, and refusal to do their job without complaints make it clear that they are not suited for this position.
First, the customer service is unacceptable. These two employees act as if every request is a burden, responding with exaggerated sighs, eye rolls, and dismissive attitudes. Instead of simply doing their jobs with even the slightest bit of professionalism, they make customers feel like an inconvenience. A simple request for thin slices or an extra pound of cold cuts is met with unnecessary frustration, as if they are doing a favor rather than fulfilling a basic service.
Then, there’s the ongoing issue with their inconsistent closing times. One day the deli closes at 6 PM, the next at 5:45, and sometimes even earlier—whenever they personally decide they are finished working. When their manager asks them to remain open and serve customers as they are supposed to, they react with visible irritation and resistance, as if fulfilling their job responsibilities is beneath them.
Their overall demeanor is the most disappointing part. Their lack of effort, unwillingness to help, and visible disdain for their own work create an uncomfortable environment for customers. If working behind a deli counter is something they find so unbearable, perhaps they should seek employment elsewhere rather than take out their frustration on paying customers.
This deli would be significantly better if management took action to ensure employees actually uphold basic customer service standards. Until then, I would strongly recommend going somewhere else where customers are treated with respect and where employees actually take pride...

When I didn’t receive any notifications, I checked and saw my order wasn’t delivered. I called Stop & Shop and spoke with a supervisor, who couldn’t find my order under my name. She only found an order under my name with a different last name—but that was for pickup, not delivery, and still not my order. The supervisor then told me they don’t deliver to 10304, which is false because I had groceries delivered to my address just two days earlier. She also claimed she didn’t see any purchase history for me, even though I reminded her of my recent order. I even had screenshots and the transaction on my card as proof. Only after I insisted did she acknowledge the order showing up in the app as being on its way. Despite that, she kept insisting it was originally a pickup order. This is the second time this has happened—last month they also switched my delivery order to pickup, and I had to wait 2 hours past the scheduled time to finally receive my groceries. Do not buy the prepackaged cold cuts from the deli, the Boar's Head or Shop & Stop brand, I've had to return spoiled ham and cheese multiple times. 08/05/2023 I had to return some chocolate candy that when I opened it up it was spoiled half melted and they put it back on the shelf for some reason when was the unlucky one that bought it. 07/25/23 I bought two mangos last week took about a week for them to start getting ripe one of them ripens and was decent the other one got soft when I cut it open it was just bad. It's not the first time I bought fruit that wouldn't ripen. I also noticed a lot of products that I need they seem to run out of fast. Ultimately I think the place is dirty and some of the staff are very rude. At 7:00 PM they closed the express self-service lines around this time it's usually light volume of customers but they seem to ruin that by shutting down the express self-service check out so you end up waiting a long time to get your one or two products you thought you can run in and out of the store for. The customer service is just rude! The employees look dirty. None of the cashiers say thank you they don't bag your groceries, they push an expensive shopping bag on you or you can pay $0.05 for a paper bag that tears when...
