Sunrise Medical Center — Local services in New York

I went in on a Wednesday 5:20pm to ask if they take my insurance because I was looking into making this my primary medical office . The sign in front says they close at 7pm but the the door was locked , i had to ring the buzzer to be let in ,once i was let inside the receptionist had her jacket on & an elderly man that was walking behind her said in spanish “tell her we are closing to come back tomorrow” but the receptionist greeted me so i asked her if they take my insurance in english & she asked me in english “do you speak spanish” i then asked her if doesn't speak english b/c she asked me the question in english but she said “NO” so I told her ok thanks . As i was walking out she goes and ask the man that was with her “Ask her what is it that she wants” but in spanish but i continued to walk out bc at this point i was turned off that a receptionist that works in a medical office does not speak both languages and yes i am hispanic & i do speak spanish but my primary language is english so that is the language I prefer. Also i did not appreciate the elderly man that was in the office telling her in spanish to tell me that the office is closed and to come back tomorrow meanwhile as i mentioned before the office hours said they close at 7pm . So far I have No problems with the Doctors or Specialist there. Some of the front Desk worker’s are very nice and treat you with love and respect, other’s they could see you standing there to ask a question and they be on the phone for at list 2 or 3 minutes in to they decide to ask how they could help you? Dr's ,staff are friendly and kind,they listen to ur problems and then take you to a higher level in order to perform and makes it easier for you not to be moving all around to different places to get ur medical problems sorted out.I've been going to this facility for over 10 years.They are very respectful and also deal with you in a timely manner.I will recommend this...
