I only realized after reading othersâ reviews that this store will try everything possible to reject reasonable return requests. I bought a âHello Darlingâ watch, and since it was the last one in the store, I purchased the display model. After buying it, I wore it out of the store and didnât take the original packaging. The metal strap pulled at my arm hair, and as a display model, it had minor quality flaws, so I decided to return it within a week. However, they refused to process the return, citing the lack of original packaging. I find this unreasonable as they never informed me beforehand that not having the packaging would affect returns, especially since I purchased a display model that didnât have complete packaging to begin with. Initially, they blamed online customer service, but after I confirmed via phone that online and in-store purchases are separate systems, they took my contact information and said they would ask the manager and respond within one business day. However, after a week of daily follow-ups, their answer was always âWe havenât received a response.â They kept delaying until now, using the same script in hopes I would give up.
To make matters worse, the reason I bought a new watch in the first place was that I came to this store to replace the battery on my old Swatch, and after the replacement, my old watch stopped working. Since I couldnât prove that their battery replacement caused the damage, I had no choice but to buy a new one. Beware of this storeâthey wonât provide reasonable after-sales support, and even a battery replacement could damage your watch. They will only delay and shift...
Read moreI just had an extremely disappointing experience at this particular swatch store location. I went in to return a watch that I had recently purchased at a different location. At the time of the purchase I confirmed that I would be able to return the watch at any other location.I am a religious Jew which is obviously determined by the way I look. And when I tried to return the watch at this location ( World Trade Center) I was told that they cannot accept the return because there was a slight rip on the outer packaging of the box and they didnât like the way the watch was packaged. They said they were uncomfortable taking it because it is not a watch that they sell in this store. Now this is obviously a ridiculous claim because the watch was clearly unworn with the stickers still on it and none of this being the company policy. It seems as though they were looking for reasons not to accept the return. They were extremely unkind and Unhelpful not trying to help us in any way very clearly trying to inconvenience us. Unfortunately there is no other logical explanation to what I experienced other than blatant antisemitism. I am saddened and disappointed by what I experienced today. And I hope that swatch takes the necessary steps to ensure that such treatment of any customers never occurs again at this store or any other store. (Attached is a photo of the...
Read moreI've been going to this Swatch store since about 2017 when I worked at 1 WTC. I have always found this location to be staffed by people really committed to making you feel looked after during a visit.
Yesterday I passed through and was helped by David, who not only helped me with a battery change for a family member's two out-of-production models, but went above and beyond. He asked me if I'd like them polishedâsomething I didn't even realize was an option!
There was no pressure to buy anything, but he did try to help me track down a newer Swatch I was looking for when I asked. That's how customer service should work, in my opinionâpeople just being good humans to each other. Really appreciate him and the other person working yesterday. That's why I keep going back to this spot anytime I think about...
