Village Moon Tattoo & Body Piercing — Local services in New York

My wife and I came down to Brooklyn for an event on her birthday, and had a random impulse to schedule for some silly flash tattoo. The place we booked with on the way down had to cancel and by then, my wife and I were absolutely stuck on the idea of getting tattooed! We searched and found these artists, who happily designed and tattooed some beautiful tattoos on us!! Everyone was SO nice and accommodating! I really enjoyed the whole experience, and it has truly made our adventure the experience of a lifetime!! The artistry was phenomenal and the cleanliness was too! The prices were perfect, in my opinion. We would have paid about the same way up north, for not-as-great work. I opted to go with a simple line drawing of my cat, with a silly expression on her face (hence the exaggerated open mouth) but the artist did such a realistic interpretation using minimal lines!! My wife chose a flash art style fox. I’m so impressed and happy!! Thank you SO much!!!

I went to get my cartilage piercing changed. It was just a simple switch from my original stud to a silver hoop. The first Indian man at the counter was polite and showed me my options. However, the second Indian uncle with white hair who was performing the switch was incredibly rude and loud. All he kept saying was just pay just pay. He dropped my original stud on the floor and it got lost. They did offer me a replacement but I was still annoyed, understandably.

He was very rough with the insertion of the hoop as well. Now, I’m slightly paranoid that he didn’t even insert the piercing properly. I think I will have to go to a PROPER piercing shop where they treat their customers with respect and have it checked out.

They spoke in hindi the entire time thinking I didn’t understand but I understood every word ha!

Shout out to Valente!!! Did my tattoo and LOVED it. Very helpful and visual in helping me with the tattoo. I had scheduled an appointment 2 weeks prior and discussed with him what I wanted done. The execution of the tattoo was perfect and the wait time was not long. Very chilled and relaxed environment. Clean and friendly. Definitely a go to place for me again and highly recommend you too give it a try.

My advice to anyone getting a tattoo (If it is your first or your tenth tattoo) be patient, be clear what you want, make an appointment, and it will be smooth. Never rush a tattoo artist or demand that a tattoo artist does your...
