This is easily the worst Walgreens I've ever been to. I live across the street and I actually walk all the way to CVS where they're courteous and normal.
The employees here are literally verbally abusive to customers. When you meet the manager you'll even understand why! They rarely have more than one register open and watched an employee get berated for opening another even though a line was going up an aisle.
The employees are miserable and treat customers like dirt. NYC crime means everything is locked up ao get ready to wait a while for someone to open up a shelf. Then when you're nice to them and thank them they stand there as if you inconvenienced them by you know, making them do their job.
One time I came here at 11:15, 45 minutes before close and they were locking the door. The worker was nasty and barked she had no customers and told me to "hurry up". That's about the level of kindness you can expect here.
The pharmacy is also full of verbally abusive people who get mad at you when they fail to communicate properly. I asked a quesiton out of curiosity while waiting for them to pull up some information and she screamed like a psychopath for me to be patient. I even smiled and said oh I was only asking for clarification I'm not rushing you I know its stressful. This prompted her to yell again to be patient and stip talking to her while shes on the computer. I had other similar psychotic encounters here.
When I finally talked to a manager he apologized and said he'd talk to them. I said this is an ongoing problem read your reviews. He repeated his corporate line.
The managers take zero responsibility. I actually hope this location closes to do the world a favor. I ended up reporting them to corporate but nothing changed. Go to CVS, people are human beings there and...
Read moreRacist female Manager ! I experienced racism today as a African American female, this was from the female manager with brown highlights I believe she was Indian , I went to do an instore transaction today for 5 items I presented the cashier with 4 coupons and was told I had to do 1 coupon per transaction, after she declined I kindly said no thanks, picked my coupons off the counter and left. Once I went home I noticed my 5.00 coupon was not with me, I called the store and I kid you not, the manager said when you left you dropped the coupon on the floor along with your weave, she said “ I can tell the coupon was yours because it was next to some weave on the floor, I said huh she said you dropped your weave on the floor, got to the store, the cashier called the manager and the manager said give her the coupon it’s hers, the cashier then presented me with my coupon and some other women’s braid that fell out her hair, she did this in front of everyone to try and play me, this was not my hair as my hair is curly and not even braided! the manager clearly assumed because I was black I had fake hair, was wearing weave and the hair on the floor was mine, this was so embarrassing as she just tried to hand me a braid like it was mine I straight told the cashier it’s not mine and I don’t even have braids! I will be reporting this to corporate as the intentions was clearly to embarrass me, why would you hand someone a hair off the floor anyway, then assuming the hair was mine...
Read moreI have been going to this pharmacy for some time because the one on Austin st closed and my insurance would only send to a Walgreens. this is unfortunately the closest one to me.
For years now i have been dealing with extremely rude, unprofessional, lazy (according to my insurance representative), and incompetent pharmacy attendants and workers. They are even nastier I've the phone. Cut you off and give you attitude for asking questions or clarification.
I constantly get messages that my insurance doesn't cover prescriptions I know they do (every single refill) for recurring prescriptions because they continuously run them under outdated information or incorrect codes. I always have to navigate loopholes, tell them how to do their jobs and what codes to run based on what my insurance suggested I tell them and/or call 3 different ppl to get my prescripton refilled.
Not to mention I usually have to make multiple trips by public transportation (wasted money) due to their inconvenience and poor communication system (text/call).
If you can go somewhere else please do so. None of them are helpful or sympathetic to the fact that some of these prescriptions are time sensitive and them doing their jobs correctly is critical to patient care and health.
Their regular service line is also slow Every single time I've been inside. Customers are both lines are always frustrated or yelling at a customer service rep or pharmacist.
