I was not happy with the comic store that was closest to where I live. Poor service and poor rapport from the staff. This made me look for another store to pick up the most important issue to me of the year: Spawn 301. I chose Chris’s Comics not because it was the second closest to me (which it wasn't) but because I noticed they open until 1am on Tuesday Nights. Even though I had to cross the Dumbarton bridge to get to the store it was well worth every dollar spent to cross back home. Chris provided exceptional service over the phone for a book that was complicated to find (virgin cover) and held it for me for the release date even though I did not have a subscription with the store. When I arrived to the store at 11:30pm for the Spawn 301 release he was extremely helpful and genuine to me, any additional requests I had on old back issues he was able to assist and create a memorable experience for me. I do not expect this type of service from comic book store’s specially when considering I am not one of his regular customers. If you live aways from Fremont or across the bridge this is a store that must be visited at least once because I can guarantee you, you will want to come back. Lots of back issues to look through!
