Newark celebrated its 65th annual community parade and fair this weekend in the park! It had several activities and displays: vintage car show, music stage, arts and crafts tables and tents, carnival snacks, ethnic foods, clown with balloons and bubbles, petting booth, carnival amusement rides. There was also a morning parade with car floats and organizations and businesses participating. Parking lots were really full and some required permits, so neighbors walked to the area instead. Parking is hella skimpy because it was only made for a half-sized-high-school & Ohlone extension, so be prepared to find a spot further away and walk.
