Waiting in line at the pharmacy is made (infinitely) longer because CVS allows customers to ring up all of their purchases- in addition to their prescription- at the pharmacy counter. This is a disservice to customers who are only picking up a prescription, some who are not well, or who have a sick child in tow. The front checkout has more options for checking out (automated plus cashiers). Establishing a policy such as: “To better serve our customers picking up prescriptions, only prescriptions can be paid for at the Pharmacy counter. They work very hard for us with a never ending stream of prescription orders, refills, insurance issues, questions, problems, vaccinations, locating products and more.
