Used to be amazing. Recently my son has had no medications even though he's been on them for 10 years through this pharmacy. All info via text wasn't sent info for backorder was significantly delayed and I spent over 50 hours in two weeks on with insurance pharmacies and this one in particular as well as our pcp we were promised a different dosage to get him what he needed and pharmacist never told us they only had 40 so they just didn't bother to fill untl I called and kept screenshot of each voicemail I've left them. I have 11 of different dates over one script for my son and 14 placed to other surrounding pharmacies and when finally speaking to a person today a female.pharmaist suggest I respect her- lol while they so evidently didn't oblige me on the prescription or the delays nor would they have bothered to say this to the management of a medical office when they also attempted to seek some resolution. When I asked why they couldn't fill the woman said "you didn't request the 120 be 40 and 40 is all we have" I replied "and how would I know you only had 40 if you didn't call me tp say so?" But this is 11 days after call in to which medication shortages also should be updated within a few days not over 2 weeks. It's actually by law under the pharmacy protocol to KNOw and be aware of recurring meds for those consistently on them and to get ahead of issues PRIOR to a shortage. But its my last day on earth when a pharmacist who isn't Derek or one I know to be great there to ever tell a MOM who's medical career and legal career dar outweigh hers how I can get into My lane. Don't lie to my pcp and care for your locals and their daily meds and ya won't have me asking questions your uncomfortable answering bc legally I can just submit the call logs the amount of effort and the result to the State oversight of pharmacists licenses and ask them exactly how YOU bacme more royalty than a member of medical service and somehow felt your feedback was more critical than a 14 ur Olds medications he needs and has been on his lifetime this far. And stop taking LUNCH for 3 hours when you're only open for 8. You could never work the ER. If you're that tired.and maybe that's why you have nothing in stock. You're...
Read moreWhen this pharmacy location first opened, it was excellent. Now, it’s awful chaos. Prescriptions are canceled without warning, and medications that should be held for two weeks are inexplicably put back after just a few days. Trying to pick up prescriptions on time is an exercise in frustration: they might fill one item immediately, but the remaining medications can take a week or more… always with the app promising they'll be ready "tomorrow."
Even worse, prescriptions marked as "currently preparing" can sit in that status for 5–6 days, on top of the time it takes for the medication to be ordered. The phone service is just as bad. Calls are rarely answered, and if you do get through after an exhausting wait, you're often placed on hold and disconnected.
It’s disheartening. A pharmacy is not a luxury, it's a critical service. The way this location is managed now has made my life significantly harder, and it didn’t have to be this way. I appreciate the staff works hard, but in the end we are...
Read moreThey definitely deserve their bad reviews. Normally I go to Amesbury CVS where the service is fine. Amesbury was out of stock of my prescription, so I had to go to Newburyport on Storey Ave. They wanted to charge me $180 for my prescription, which is normally $10 at Amesbury. When I asked why, they said, that is just the way it is. Needing the medicine I said ok, and would deal with it later at Amesbury. Then the pharmacist told me I need to go to the end of the line. I asked him if he was joking and that I would not wait on line again for another 20 minutes. I asked for the order to be re-entered. The head pharmacist re-rang up the order and it cost $10 this time. Rather than apologize, she proceeded to ask why I was being disrespectful. They were not interested in listening and correcting their mistake. Instead they tried to bum rush me and overcharge me $170. Hopefully it was just a bad day for them, but I doubt it as I see very similar reviews...
