I like that market basket did have a lot of thrills and frills it's very simple almost hospital feeling but if that's what it takes to keep the price of the groceries down all for it but it feels very bleak sometimes at some locations. Clean bathrooms easy access for parking and it seems like the grocery prices have been kept down so I'll take it. After some research I have found that these large Conglomerate companies in the picture below Do not respect the food chain and do not treat their suppliers with dignity and respect so if you can avoid any of these companies to not perpetuate the problem we will make it a better world together. Whenever purchasing things like produce, chicken, milk etc. Make sure you know where your food is coming from and what the company's stand for do not perpetuate problems in this world. This sourcing is everything.

This is one of the larger, brighter of the Market Basket locations. As I have mentioned before, I'm rather transient and so I cannot say I have done a very large shopping here for quite some time. But if I were to handpick a place to shop, this Market Basket would be at the top of my list. I recently stopped in quickly to pick up some essentials and, even during this time of crisis, all the employees I interacted with were very pleasant and helpful. They were also quite vigilant about using hand sanitizer between customers.

Nice store. Similar to the one in Portsmouth NH. Well stocked. Has a bakery 🧁 and kitchen that sells flatbread pizzas and sandwiches. A machine to recycle ♻️ cans and bottles, probably with the Massachusetts return deposit on the label. Decent produce section. I received good service at checkout. Touchless payment option available. No sales tax on groceries. A little crampt around the registers. BYOB! Bring your own bag! If you want plastic, you will have to pay 10¢ per bag.

I do not have an actual experience shopping at the Newburyport MA Market Basket. I walked into the store and never got past the front entrance. The store smelled so bad I knew I could not purchase fresh food there. I do not purchase a lot of processed food or canned food, so fresh food quality is very important to me. The store smelled of old rotten meat and vegetables/fruit. Perhaps they have their garbage too close to the front, perhaps they have the door to their back area where food is stored too close to the front...I don't know. I guess to my mind it doesn't matter what the cause of the smell may be - the problem is that there is a smell. If anyone out there knows that they have cleaned up their act in Newburyport, please write a review here and tell me I am wrong. I have friends and work acquaintances who shop Market Basket in Haverhill MA. They are very happy, but I have to take into consideration the expense for gas when I drive so far from home to...

contd from photo. make sure you read the freaking photo review first please and thank you. anyway so umm what i talking about oh yeah davey wanted to light a fricking bonfire in the cereal aisle i was like ok dude cmon like the employee is already mad about the fricking bevy base orange, but it’s actually spelled oranj my bad. anyway so like i was like we should probably get out and stuff. but davey was insistent and did bring the firewood so i was like ok fine let’s do it. we tried to light the fire, but the employee was not amused. she threatened to call the police. but. cmon man. um. davey heated up some more cheesy jalapeno mac (3/10 moldy cheese) and threw it in her face, including the pan which i thought was a little much. but you know davey. she started crying. because of the spice. um. her manager came over and said the customer is always right. thank you. the red tiles were also very...
