Port Plaza — Local services in Newburyport

Dropped off 3 sweaters and while they did a rush order, they gave me 2 correct sweaters and 1 that is a cheap brand and the wrong size. It took me a few weeks to notice it as I was not wearing spring weather sweaters and realized the mistake and contacted them. They refuse to acknowledge the mistake and said I must have brought it to another cleaners. Since I just moved and that is the only cleaner in town, it's the only one I have gone to. I would highly recommend finding another cleaner that does not lose your clothing - and if they do will at least acknowledge their mistake. This is the plaza with a long-vacant Kmart space and Hyman's Pennyworth's, the store that time forgot. I checked it out once and didn't enjoy the indifferent customer service and "Twilight Zone" vibe. If you can't get to the Shaw's in Plaistow, the store here is pretty good and they're open later than other grocers in the area. The AAA location is also quite nice. Other than that, the retail lineup is decidedly generic/random. This isn't a "destination" plaza. No matter what store you plan to visit, COME TO AN EXTRA LONG STOP AT EVERY STOP SIGN. This is The Most Unique Has Station Store I have ever bern to. The Inside is so Unique it looks like a Log Cabin. O absolutely Love the Design, Uniqueness and Setting of thus Store.
