Going to a new hair stylist for the first time is scary...BUT, you must go and have your hair done with Marty because she does phenomenal work! I am in California for the summer and was very much in need of having my roots done. (My hair is fine, blond and highlighted.) I was very intrigued by taking an organic approach to highlighting my hair so I gave this studio a call and booked my appointment. Marty took the time to listen to what I was looking to do and walked me through how she would highlight my hair. I even brought photos of styles I liked and we discussed which ones would look best for my face shape. The salon is beautiful, calming and super clean- I felt very relaxed and confident about my decision to give Organic Color Studio a try.

Marty did a color base first, so that my roots would grow out more "natural" (rather than the obvious dark roots I walked in with)- I had never done this before. Next she conditioned my hair, then highlighted it, cut it and did a blow dry style. I LOVE IT!! My hair looks and feels so healthy and the color is gorgeous. Must say I was blown away when it was done and I am enjoying the compliments I receive. Now that I have tried the organic way with Marty I am hooked. I'm new to SoCal from NYC and left behind my favorite colorist and stylist in Soho. I've spent months looking for a skilled stylist and finding an legit organic salon in the area has been a challenge...until I heard about Organic Color Studio. The salon's owner, Marty, called me after I placed an online appointment request and made sure I understood the pricing. I immediately appreciated that she made an effort to make sure I'd have a positive experience from the start.

When I arrived at the salon, she knew to expect me, greeted me by name, and couldn't have been more welcoming. Marty understood my frustration about two previous experiences I had elsewhere in O.C. and reassured me she'd give me a cut and color that I'd love.

Marty is a true artist, mixing your color to create the exact look she has in her mind's eye, and applying it with precision and consistency. She takes a tremendous amount of pride in her work, and she took great care at every step of the balayage process, as well as with my cut. I couldn't be happier! My hair has movement, shape and looks and feels wonderfully healthy.
