It's unfortunate I have to write this review because I've been coming here for 25 years and I won't be coming back. I came here for lunch because I was craving one of thier amazing Rib Eye steaks, but after looking at thier lunch menu, I only saw that the NY steak was only being offerd for lunch, so I ask the waiter if they're serving Rib Eyes for lunch and he stated they were. I was excited until I saw what he brought me. It was a NY steak!! I stated to him that I wanted a Rib eye and he stated to me it was a Rib Eye and they just cut it half. What??? Cut it half? So I only get a half Rib Eye? Remember I've been coming here for 25 years and I always either get the Rib Eye or Broasted Chicken. I know what a Rib Eye looks like. It wasn't cut in half. It was a NY steak. I was shocked when he keep insisting that it was a Rib Eye. Okay maybe he didn't know the difference. I'll cut him some slake, right! But then the main guy who's always here and knows me comes to the table a few minutes later and looks me in the Eye and stated that it was a Rib Eye. He lied to me in my face as I have this NY steak on my plate in front of him. I'm shocked because tgis guy has been serving me and my family for years. I always thought this guy was a straight up guy but after today I'm just blown away on how easy it was for him to lie to me. When I got my bill it stated misc tax item for $25.95 and coffee. I have been coming here my whole life. My dad used to take me when I grew up...back when the bar area still had saw dust! On my own accord, this has become my all time favorite restaurant! I write this out of love and straight up respect! Best restaurant I have ever had the pleasure of sitting down at!! Sal, Horatio, and all the whole crew work extra hard l, day in, and day out to give you that home cooked (your treated like family) gracias to the cooks and chefs behind the scenes that obviously love their jobs! Vibes are alive since day one. I never review restaurants and what not... Yet, the good ole chicken coop needs me right here right now! Just like I need a good ole beef dip sandwich!! A little au ju or however you spell it to dip that thinly sliced rib eye stea...but ask for their bbq sauce for the best fries! I don’t f with a lot of fry’s... but let me tell you (I am a bbq sauce connoisseur) and their sauce is truly the boss!! Thanks for all the good times, epic cocktails when I used to drink lol!! Most importantly, thanks for allowing me to still feel local with a rad local family run restaurant that can whip up the best Mexican grinds, fish tacos, b fast on deck, steaks, omg don’t forget their pizzas holy hell...that’s kind of my go to, all the meats plus onion pineapples garlic... everyone trips out when they bring it to my table and all of a sudden I am finally...

BEST! CHICKEN! TORTILLA! SOUP! EVER! EVER! EVER! Seriously! If you haven't tried this soup and you're in the area, do your taste buds a favor and check it out. It's a delightful taste sensation!
