Unfortunately, the customer service at this store is awful, off-putting, and rude. As soon as you enter you are treated as a suspect (followed closely and monitored) and spoken to in a very condescending and pedantic manner (telling adults and accompanied teens to put their lidded drinks at the counter is so laughable and an odd controlling flex). On my last visit, I was looking to buy some end of year teacher gifts and while browsing (I had been there for 10-15 minutes), I noticed a bathroom and thought I would use it quickly and then continue my shopping. As I was approaching the door to the bathroom I was "caught" just in time and given a speech by the shop worker, who was almost run-walking towards me as if I was about to strike a match and burn the place down or something, about how the bathroom is private and off-limits to customers because of COVID (um, okay). I understand that bathrooms in a small business might be for employees only, but the tone and manner in which the shop worker approached me and reprimanded me was so uncessary and embarassing. I just walked away from her and out of the store while she was in mid-rant. I love to support small businesses, but the experience at this store is so unpleasant and unwelcoming. I've visited this shop three times in an effort to give it a fair chance, but it's not worth it. The products at this shop are cute and well curated, but there are so many other shops just like it now managed by lovely people with good customer relationship skills that I would...

First off, I love going into Newtown to shop and walk around. Love the area!! It’s such a shame that there are so many weird reviews about this store. I love what’s in the store! So many cute items to buy!

Unfortunately, It’s just very expensive for certain things, so I usually look online for a more reasonable price. Also, I don’t like being followed all over the store. Not everyone is going to shop lift in your store. Not everyone is a Criminal. It’s a little uncomfortable with someone always following your every move. Makes me want to just get in there, and get out as fast as possible. Get what I need and go.

I hope that some things will change here with the amount of low grading reviews. Listen to the people, more customers will come into the store and will feel more Comfortable to shop around. Comfortable customers=More $$ for your...

This store has some nice, albeit overpriced, things. A few minutes after I walked in here yesterday, I am approached by the owner? (an older, thin blonde woman) who asks if I am looking for anything specific. I say no, just looking. She then tells me I am going to have to put my iced tea on the counter. Of course, I say, thinking that is a policy. After browsing for 10 minutes I realize I am the only one this policy has been enforced on. I had seen two other people carrying bottles around in the back and the assumed owner is helping and chatting with a customer who, along with her three children, are all happily sipping their starbucks while walking around the store.
