One of the worst Mariano's I've been too. Boxes of stuff all over the place, like they don't have storage. People behind the meat counter have long hair or beards and never wear hair nets.GROSS! The deli guy cleans the floor and trash between customers. I never buy any meat or deli items here. I always go elsewhere for that. They always have just one register open and it is run by a rude, slow lady who is all attitude if you say anything she doesn't like. The bagger is completely incompetent and really has no idea how to bag by weight and type of item. He's really good at repeating his memorized lines though. Occasionally there is no register open at all and it is only self check out. If that's the case I just walk out and go down to Jewel or Fresh Farms. This Mariano's is fabulous! I could spend the day here shopping and eating. The staff is courteous and the service is good. The self checkout is so convenient and a great timesaver. Their produce selection is massive and the hot food buffet is delicious! However, I believe that the prices for the self-serve buffet is way too high! I can get a nice meal at a restaurant for less than the scant portions afforded me here by weight. I think this is a rip-off that all grocery store chains have adopted for far too long. I liked the store but they were very rude to me when I asked if they sold cigarettes. The employee said "cigarettes cause cancer" Loudly, I was embarrassed for asking. Im not from this town, I didnt know they didnt sell cigarettes and then I was treated like I was less than a normal customer. They sell booze and there werent signs saying not smoker friendly.
