One of my clients prompted me to visit this Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen a while back when he purchased its chicken and sorta teased me. Hehe, how rude! On a side note I like to refer to my check-ins at restaurants like Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, as taking one for the Yelp team. When I say taking one for the Yelp Team, I'm meaning being subjected to a restaurants mediocre food items and services which many American multinational chained restaurants are known for. Not sure if I am the only one, but when I visit, it is like I cannot avoid experiencing some sort of mediocrity, but enough with that.
During my visit, I wanted to go through the drive-thru, but after 7-minutes of waiting with no signs of the line moving whatsoever, I went inside to order instead. As someone who has worked fast food during my junior high school to high school years, I looked for the employee working the drive-thru to get a glimpse of their productivity as I patiently waited to order. I actually did not see the drive-thru employee, but everything else looked smooth inside, and the food looked fresh. I assumed that they were undermanned, which always leaves the employee working the drive-thru to wear different hats.
Furthermore, going inside, it only took me only 4 minutes to order; fill up my drink and pick up my order from the employee who took my order versus the 7-minute drive-thru wait for whatever unknown reason. I thought this whole situation was unsatisfactory and it prompts me to go inside for future visits if I encounter the same situation.
Another thing to take note of is its drive thru exit which is a little tight if you drive a SUV or van. Plus where its exit is located you may be waiting due to there being a traffic light right outside of the exit. And lastly its parking is fitting for the amount of seats it has inside and customers it serves regularly, which is no problem. As for a rating, I rate this location 3-stars flat, but that is only because the food made up for the mediocre experience at the...
Read moreI purchased a meal through the app and selected drive thru as the pick up method. When I arrived, I waited almost 20 minutes in the drive thru line which started in the street, and not in the parking lot. That is how bad it was. I realized why when I finally got to the speaker because it took several minutes before an employee even stated speaking to me. They then informed me that I could not pick up my drive thru order in the drive thru and would have to come in. I then had to park, and wait just to get into the lobby. Once I finally got into the lobby, it took several minutes before I was offered service to finally pick up my order. Please do not offer drive thru as a pick up method on your app if it is in fact not an option. It would have been helpful to put up a sign next to the drive thru lane indicating drive thru pick up is not an option and instruct customers to come inside. I feel as though Popeyes does not value my time by making customers wait in line only you find out they do not offer drive through pick up. I also feel that Popeyes lacks integrity by offering an option on the app that is in fact not a real option at the store. I believe Popeyes needs more manners. I was never apologized to for the inconvenience if having to come in our for the discrepancy with the app. I was never thanked for my business or greeted politely. The woman who served me did not even look at me and blurted out, "picking up or you need to order?" As far as covid, I feel that Popeyes does not value my safety by forcing me to come into much closer contact with other customers and employees than if I were able to be handed my pre-paid order through the drive thru window. Today, Popeyes came extremely close to losing my business forever. You still might depending on how I feel about it tomorrow. Popeyes is on thin ice in my mind. This is not the first negative experience I've had there. If I have one more or even hear of another bad experience I will be...
Read moreSo here is my experience with this Popeyes location. I order online for pickup (inside not drivethru), and I press the 5 min away as I'm getting closer to the location. I'm going east on Golf road and there is a long line that stretches 3 cars into Golf road. I'm saying to myself "Good thing I ordered pickup inside". Of course there is no way to get in their parking lot so I park at the neighbouring gas station. I get out, walk to the door but it's closed. I wave...nothing. I knock...nothing. I tell a customer at the drivethru window if he can tell them I'm at the door thinking they are just busy and focused on getting the food out. As the customer gets his food and leaves he tells me they are not letting people in because the lobby is closed. It was 8:40 PM when I got here, there was no sign on the door, just the one saying that only 3 people can be inside at any point, and nothing on the website saying "Hey, don't order pickup inside at this time because the lobby is closed". What bothers me most is that they didn't announce this anywhere and that they didn't even look my way when I was waiting at the door. Another thing I got annoyed with is that there is no way to cancel the order online either, or at least they aren't making it easy to do so. So basically I have been here for 45 min, can't get my money back so I either wait for my food or just let them keep the money and never come back. Their food is good, never had a problem, but customer service sucks. Oh and did I mention the rude lady when I finally got to the intercom? I gave her a minute or two then said hello, she's like 1 second, I'm like ok no problem. After she asks what to get me I was saying "I ordered online, order number xx, it's the 3 piec..." got interrupted "second window". Oh well, last time at this...
