I am absolutely appalled by this Room and Board store. I make a special effort to go into the store and buy the furniture with a sales rep because someone had told me that buying at the store with a sales person keeps the stores open and it gives the sales people a commission. Otherwise, I would just buy it off their website.
This is my 3rd purchase from Room and Board and this was a $9K purchase. It was already passed warehouse arrival date and I had emailed my sales rep to see if there was an update. But Sherri never responded. So I decided to call the store.
Oh my goodness, you'd think I calling there to commit a crime. Todd, the sales rep berated me on how it was impossible for him to know where the furniture could be. That while Amazon may track their cheap little trinkets, the Room and Board hand made pieces could not possibly be tracked.
The drama of this call, telling me that I was violently harassing him by asking him to check the status for me. This was causing a complete meltdown for Todd. He continued to scream at me as if I inflicted all of the social injustices of the world personally upon him. I'm glad he was able to get it off his chest. He seemed to have been bottling it up for awhile. It would've been comical if it wasn't related to $9K in furniture.
I had thought I was paying a premium for Room and Board furniture because their products were made in the US and were quality products. But Todd told me that I should just cancel my order. So I guess they make enough margin to cover all of those cancelled orders from customers they couldn't care to deal with.
I purposely choose to buy from Room and Board because I want to buy American made products and support our craftsman. But an experience like this tells me that not all sales people appreciate...
Read moreThey have great furniture! A glorious showroom! I love walking through and being inspired. I have purchased many pieces throughout the years. The reason why you have two stars at this location is because the sales associates cannot be any more snooty. They cannot be any more unwelcoming, they cannot not help me any less than they do. I don't know if it's how I look, how I dress, or how they're perceiving me.
I have been shopping at that store for many years. But usually happens is: I walk in, and I say hello. I ask for a specific or a type of room. At times they'll just point to me the direction of the room the item is in. Or at best they'll walk me to an area and then leave. Never to return again. If I have a question, I always have to hunt them down, and I feel like I'm irritating them for asking them anything. As I said I love your furniture. If I want something I usually go online and purchase it online to be delivered to my house. I'd rather give the business to just room and board and not to those sales snoots! Yes I am choosing that specific descriptor for your sales associates intentionally. They have attitudes and they are quite snooty.
Please let them know that they can lose the attitude in the sooniness considering they are nothing but cashiers, with maybe good taste in...
Read moreWe came to take a look at the furniture on 02/07/21 at this location. Store supposed to close at 6:00pm, we came in 5:15. There was about six sales people who was not working with everyone. Nobody greeted us at all. We made couple of rounds around the store trying to find a bed that we are planning to buy next week. The sales where practically running from us. Not even one person came to ask if we needed help. As much as we like the quality of the furniture the costumer service at this particular location is appalling. One of the male sales was walking past us pointedly looking at his watch. We are previously shopped at this location and to be honest, the sales are extremely rude and unprofessional here. I wouldn’t be surprised that a lot of people who comes to this particular location and meet this unwelcome atmosphere taking their business elsewhere. You would think for the prices they charge for the furniture costumer service should be at least equally great. Unfortunately this is not the case. Very...
