Is ZERO stars acceptable? This place is an absolute joke!!! Please if you are planning on buying furniture do not go here! I typically never leave reviews but I couldn’t go another minute without warning people about the dangers on this place! A few years back my fiance bought me a brand new dining and coffee table set from Morgan as a Mother’s Day gift. A few months after having the tables, we noticed a lot of chipping and wearing of the tops of the table. And this was not normal chipping, I mean the finish on the table would come off just by touching it!!! I knew there was something wrong. I called Morgan furniture to address my concerns to see what could be done about this. I was told over and over again that Mr. Morgan would call me, but he never did. I called back for weeks and never got answers. Finally, I was able to get an answer after months of calling this place. They replaced the top of the table. And I was informed by the gentleman who delivered the table that these tables are defective and everyone who purchased them got ripped off! Months go by and the same problem is happening again, but now it is the table tops, chairs, and the beautiful bench that actually happened to be the selling point for us (I loved it!) We were terrified to use our dining table. I kept my kids from eating dinner at the table in fear of the chipping and paint being removed from the top just by touching it! Again, I knew I was in for a ride having to call this place who never answers nor returns calls. I called several times and was told the tops of the tables could be replaced but the bench is discontinued. They offered to come out and touch up the bench with the correct paint to match the table. I was so happy to hear they were finally going to make it right! Morgan sent out two gentleman that replaced the top of our dining table, two chairs and the coffee table (which happened to be all scratched up!!!) I then saw the men using what appeared to be permanent marker on my beautiful bench! I saw them scrubbing the finish right off of my bench! What was a small scratch turned into a giant scratched up mess with permanent marker! I couldn’t help but start crying in frustration because I knew I would not be able to find another because of the discontinuing of the bench. I called Morgan furniture in hopes of getting this repaired and never got answers. Was told Mr. Morgan would call me, he never did. Was told they would find a solution for me, never heard back. I finally got a text from the receptionist who basically tried telling me I’m lying about the mess they caused, although I took pictures to prove it! (Picture attached) In other words, they messed up and did not want to admit it! Not surprised… coming from someone selling defective furniture! All I wanted was for this mess to be made right! I understand that mistakes happen, but I expected for it to be made right! I cannot believe the disrespect this place has for their own customers! I was told Mr. Morgan would call me over the last few months and I never once have heard from or seen him! I would not send my worst enemy to this place!!! They cannot be trusted! Read more“ No customer service here “ Bought a new king size mattress and box spring approximately 2 years ago had an issue with both mattress and box spring. They came out and looked at both and we were told mattress would not be covered because we had not bought a mattress cover at time of purchase. “They never told us that at time of purchase” Tech said he would check on the warranty for the box spring and they would call us back in a couple of days, week or so gone by and no call. Stopped in and was told they would check into it and call in a few days, No call again. Stopped in at least 2 more times and got the same story and received no call. Stopped by one last time and ask to have Mr. Morgan call me, no call. They were happy to take our money but did not even have the decency to call or take care of the issue with the box spring let alone the mattress. Buyer beware never shop here again.
Update it has been 2 weeks since they replied to my review and still have not received a phone call. My argument for the warranty of the mattress was not with the manufacture but with Morgan Furniture for not telling us that our 1500 dollar purchase would have no warranty unless a mattress cover was bought at time of purchase of the mattress and was listed on the invoice. As far as I am concerned there salesman dropped the ball and not only lost the sale of the cover but ended up with a customer that will never shop there again. Read moreOk, after waiting 2 years for the dream sectional we wanted, we finally saved enough to purchase this piece. We waited 6 weeks for the couch to come in. FINALLY after what seemed to be eternity, the couch arrived and we were so excited. We threw out our previous furniture and didn't have anything to sit on for some time. (Our mistake). So the couch shows up at our home. The guys were very nice. They couldn't get the last piece in the house and said we needed to pick new furniture out. I told him, I'm calling the manager. It's not your guys fault it doesn't fit, it is theirs. He apologized and I proceeded to go call the store. After calling to get through (very frustrated at this point) the lady that answered the phone asked what was wrong, and I told her I need a manager. She started laughing at me, like it was funny. I was livid by the time the manager got on the phone who didn't help our situation. He told us that if it doesn't fit then it's not their fault and we would have to pick a new piece. I told him, it is a huge sectional and we love in a 2900 Sq ft house. If u thought there might be an issue you should have had someone come measure. He was so rude on the phone and after spending 3000 dollars on this couch, you'd think he'd show a little more concern..but he didnt. The lack of care this place showed me made the worst experience and I won't be doing business with morgan ever again. The movers were very nice and got the couch in of course having to end up breaking a frame off the wall to push it through a doorway. Small and easy fix which I'm not worried about.
