It saddens me to leave this review because this is one of my favorite stores as I often spend over hundreds of dollars at this company. I'm currently visiting from out of state in my home town Virginia beach and purchased some items Saturday which I genuinely like from this Norfolk location. I called the store today and spoke to Carla on the phone who was very professional and helpful as I called to share with her I needed to make an exchange and the pair of shoes I purchased still had the sensor on it. She instructed me they were open until 6 PM and to feel free to come in with my receipt. I get to the store, I find items I would like in exchange, when I proceed to the check out counter I mentioned to the saleswoman/supervisor that I had called and spoke to Carla. She grabs the Olive Ole bag as I am looking in it to pull out what I would like to return so she can do it herself... I ignored this. I explain to her the exchange and she sternly calls Carla to the counter. When Carla approaches the counter she kindly greets me and removes the sensor from the shoes and stated "it was the end of the night yeah they must have forgot to remove it." I responded, "it's ok, I could have came sooner so they didn't feel rushed." I showed her the necklace I also wanted to exchange and she stated jewelry is final sale. I probably should have known this but she did further inquire why I wanted to return it. I put the necklace around my neck and showed her how it was displayed on the manikin at an angle but yet it was too long and went straight across my lower body like a belt because I didn't want them to have the perception I was returning it for no reason but so they knew it did not fit as it was created to be fit. She said "Oh, yeah, it's your call" to the supervisor. She looked at me ad said "Uhmmm, no, final sale" and I said "Okay." My bags were still on the counter, I took off the body necklace and put it into the smaller pink bag they give you for accessories, I did this so when Carla finished making my clothes exchange, we could put the smaller pink bag back into the big white Olive Ole bag. The supervisor moved my pink bag with the body necklace out of the way so she could complete a task and got the bag with the body necklace in it stuck on the sensor ring which is attached to their counter and said "Oh dang" and yanked at it to remove it from being stuck. She did so with such force multiple times that she ripped the pink bag which was also tangled in the chain somehow. She did not apologize and I asked her, "You expect me to keep it now?" She somehow found my question humorous because she laughed and said, "I'm going to check it now." She asked me did I want to look at it but I was so disappointed with her behavior I couldn't even respond. She put the $15.75 body necklace into a new bag and I thanked Carla for her assistance. I wanted to give this review 2 stars at least for how professional and attentive Cara was, but there were too many infractions by the supervisor who stated her name as "Kelly" and then smirked at me that I was compelled to only allow myself to give one star. I understand this location the store is in is not the considered the best demographic, but she was terribly uncouth. To be honest, I don't think her name was Kelly, she may have told me this to avoid me mentioning her worth ethics. I did not argue the final sale because that is the store policy. If the woman who was a supervisor was only a salesperson, I could give more stars, but if there is ever dilemma or a situation which needs management attention, she is the employee who seems to make the authority decision. While in the store the other girls are very friendly, helpful, and work together to ensure the store is clean and guests are properly greeted, this one employee seems to be the bad apple of...
Read moreNice clothes but they will cheat you out of your hard earned money. I purchased over $100 worth of clothes and when I got home I noticed the the zipper was off track. So I called the store manager and was told regardless of whether it was brought like that or not no return, exchange, or store credit because I could've done it even though I never try it on or wore it period. I paid the cleaners 30 dollars to fix a $30 dress. A year later I decided to give them one last try cas like I said they do have nice stuff. 12/15/17 I brought an outfit for a Christmas ball and was told I couldn't try it on the ball was that night so I decided to buy it anyways. I never made it due to the fact that the top ran smaller then advertised. I called and they told me the same thing no refund, exchange or store credit. Brand new outfit never worn all receipts and tags attached. Took my $50 bucks and left me with nothing and ruined my night cas I had nothing else to wear. Last time I will ever shop there and In the past i always spend over a hundred bucks there never again change your rules let people try "outfits" on or make them aware that it runs small before telling them "Your...
Read moreSometimes they forget to take the antitheft of of things which is really a pain when you have to turn around and drive all the way back after being home, or worse..cant wear what you bought at all because you have to wait till the store opens the next day to have it removed. However, the fitting room girls are very polite and really try to help, so its nice shopping there on that note. One girl in particular I dont know her name but she has black and purple braids. She has a good eye for style and will literally pick and later put away dozens of things she thinks will look good on you. This makes you want to keep shopping there because the people and service are good and makes a HUGE difference. The prices are decent and stacks of good clothes regulary get put on the $5 and up rack for no reason other than they often get new inventory and have to make room (another plus to shopping there). Cant really say I have too many complaints other than the materials sometimes being thin, but you take proper care of your items and they will last you...
