Firehouse Subs Janaf Mall — Restaurant in Norfolk

I cannot even begin to explain the level of absolute disgust I have in the way I was treated at this firehouse subs. Me and a coworker came here after work at about 8 pm and ordered at the counter. The two girls were at first pleasant and took our order. After I went to the drink machine. The sprite was out of syrup so I told the girl behind the counter that the sprite syrup was out and that I would wait for her to change it, as she was doing something at the moment. We get our food and are almost done eating when I check the sprite again. Still no syrup. Cool. So I go back and I say “hey the syrup is still out I didn’t know if I should wait or if you could change it “ the girl looked at me and told me it “was gonna be awhile before im going to get to it. “ and proceeded to stare at me with a nasty look on her face I looked at her and said “ to change the sprite?” Her response was she had ten tickets that she was working on and that she wasn’t going to stop that to change the syrup out. There were four people total inside. So I turned and sat back down.a few minutes later another guest took some food up that needed to be remade, which the girl promptly started to do. At this point I’m getting mad. Why were they being rude?! I had done nothing to them. Then my friend goes up and politely asks if they could just see if the sprite could be changed and both girls again stated that they were not going to stop what they were doing to change the sprite. So now I ask them why my needs were not as important as their other guests needs and why was it such a big deal to change out a syrup that literally takes maybe 30 seconds to do. Then one of the girls gets an attitude and grabs one of the bottles sprites out of the cooler, comes over and slams it down on the at table and tells me “you know what just eat your food and get out” and walks away talkin about how “it’s not that serious dude “ LIKE WHHHAAAATTT???!!!! I have NEVER been treated with such disrespect in an establishement over something so petty FOR NO REASON. I will NEVER eat here again and I’ll make sure everyone I know knows what kind of service they deem acceptable to their guests. The owner should be embarrassed. Very...

Poor Customer Service. First this not my first time at this location. I come to this location a lot to order a Hero sandwich. Always received great customer service. But for some reason the last couple of times has been bad. I came in, was greeted, but when I walked up to the counter. The associates including the assistant manager continued to discuss what ever conversation they was having rather than placing their conversation on hold. Honestly, I do not want to hear what they was discussing about, that should be privately or when no customers are in. They seem to not even care. The associate stood at the counter continued her conversation with the other young lady. It took a min or too before they said anything. I actually had to tell the associate “I would like to order a Hero sandwich” before she actually acknowledged me. Then they charge for additional items in the sandwich, to not have those items on the sandwich. Good thing I checked before walking out because I knew my sandwich was not going to be made correctly. Their subs are absolutely delicious! However one of the other things Firehouse Subs normally does very well are the baked goods. Today when we went in, I was excited to get the same stuff I always do with a brownie, but the brownies were still and rock hard, as well as all the cookies! Every single baked good was as hard as a rock. This would have been fine, because our subs were absolutely delicious, but the service we received was very rude. The girl helping us did not greet us, and a cat the whole time while she took our order as if we were an inconvenience. She didn't speak very loud when asking questions such as if it was for here to go, but then would not repeat herself and just stared at us until we guess what she was trying to ask an answer. She was snippy the whole time we were ordering, and acted as though she had no interest being there. I'm not looking for the world's best service, but I would like to not be treated as though I'm an inconvenience when I come in for dinner.
