RUN- Misleading communication amongst front office staff and customer, charging for things never received. Lack of professionalism. No service to the customer.
This is the worst experience I have ever encountered with a company. I have been signed up for services without my knowledge and charged for these services that were not received.
I have been extremely busy the past few months. New Job, going back to school for my Master's, running my own business and being a full time mom. The stress has become nearly debilitating. I feel like a pull a muscle anywhere from my neck to shoulders, almost everyday. I have been frequently attending the gym to help. Which include trips to the Suana. I have thought of seeing a chiropractor for a while, a few friends suggested I go for a massage first. I have tried massages in the past and haven't had much to any success. But I went out on a limb and tried it again.
Financially I am at the point where I don't feel comfortable adding this expense. But I am glad I did, because I had the best experience and massage with an awesome massage therapist at the Attleboro Masaage Envy. I felt so much lighter and relieved and I filled the rooms with oo's and ah's as I felt knots being worked out and my neck relaxing like I haven't felt in a LONG time.
I had such a great experience I even thought of getting a membership and signing up for a longer massage. Until the next day/week. When I was charged for 3 services, 2 I never signed up for or received. And the 3rd I was ensured they would reschedule and not charged for.
When I called to ask about the services wrongfully billed they insisted I made 3 appointments and there policy was to charge if not canceled appropriately. I never made these. Never got the courtesy call that should have come with these 3 appointments, had I made them. I asked how can I cancel something I had no idea about? And who books 3 appointments after having 1 massage? Why did I not get a reminder call? Just things that were obviously wrong and didn't make sense. The office manager I spoke to was no help at all. She just kept repeating a cancellation policy over the phone. She did not listen to me. I wonder if it is commission based. And she did not want to lose out on her commission?
This is not the first time people have been wrongfully charged at this site. I understand you want to make money. But stealing money is not okay.
Unfortunately, due to the unprofessional encounter, I am not comfortable AT ALL returning, calling and definitely not getting a membership or spending a dime more here.
There is no way that a manager or owner can stand behind this. How can I go about getting a refund for services never signed up for or received? Does the massage therapist provide services with another location? If so I would like to give Massage Envy another try. It is so frustrating that I found a great massage therapist and the entire experience was ruined by front office staff. I had seen the low rating on Google Maps and other review sites and I still took the chance. Don't give this site the benefit of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could give less I would apologies ahead of time for the length. I'll start by saying I have had a membership off and on. I originally left due to a bad interaction with an employee at another location. I moved so I decided to give it another go since this was a different one close to my home. All was fine till I booked a stretch and massage. I arrived for my appointment 5-7 min early. The stretch guy got me at the time of my appointment maybe a little later. I told him I was there for a stretch because I had been having some shoulder pain and figured this would be good. He replied, "well I'm not doing shoulders today :-O" Then we ended 20 min early. I told him that it was short he claims he got me early. I really really dislike confrontations so I let it go figured I would speak to the manager about it and make them aware through the survey they usually send after the visits. The massage was awesome though Tamara was excellent. Survey came but not for mr. non shoulder stretch guy. So, I was given a free stretch as a courtesy. I thought everything was good this was on 01/12/25. Why on 01/17/25 I see a debit to my HSA for $37.56 from Massage Envy?? I called and was told they were trying to debit the mthly fee which usually comes out on the 20th of the mth. Here is where I have the issue with them. I was told by one person it was because of the membership fee, another told me it was not them, but another told me it was for the non-compliant stretch I got. Make up my mind for me this resulted in me calling my HSA bank cancelling the card for an unauthorized charge. I waited a whole week to see if this charge fell off since it was the incorrect amount and as they said it was not them. The charge never fell off it went through and posted to the account. They were then blaming my bank and saying it was not them. I said since it was debited, I would pay the remainder I was told no they could not do that, and it was not them. I could pay the membership fee in full, or they could cancel my membership for me. I responded that they or someone there basically stole money from me. A bank/HSA would not randomly say oh let me send massage envy some of her money! Because of my response they then cancelled my membership and basically told me I could "AS A COURTESY" use my remaining sessions that I paid for at another massage envy location. I refuse to respond to them and perpetuate the injurious behavior. But I am really upset, angry, and confused on how I am being treated like this when it was my money??? If it were you, wouldn't you want your money back or not be charged an additional amount for who knows what??? Let us just say after my use of the remaining sessions I will not be giving any more business to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI will never come here again. I had Linda and it was a horrible experience. I told her I had a neck injury from the start and explained it needed support from a pillow and neutral positioning from when you place your head in the hole for when they do your back. She seemed more annoyed that I needed these "accommodations". Within the first few minutes I almost walked out. She made me very uncomfortable and I was on edge the whole time. I was scared from the start that I'd get a flare up. I told her a few times what she was doing was making me symptomatic so please stop and she seemed annoyed by that. I told her once when she was lulling my arm it hurt and she started doing it to the other one. She tells me if I had strecthed my injury wouldn't have happened and seemed to know it all. Everything she did seemed tk get me ready for future appointments. Some people just want 1 massage. They don't want to commit. This place needs people who are trained in the body for injuries. Anyone can rub someone's back... She tells me she's an empath and can feel what other people can feel. If that was the case she'd known I was uncomfortable. It took me alot to trust another person to touch my neck. She then tells me she is going to "move the dirty blood" from it. Basically this meant to cut the circulation off of my leg to move the blood up to my leg into my heart to oxygenate" it. Sorry that's not how the human body works. That is why I have kidneys to filter my blood.. Definitely was not a great experience. When I went to the front desk they asked did you tip her...Then they wanted me to sign up for a membership and the vibe I got was pressure. Again not everyone wants to commit. Stay away if you have a injury. These people do not have the...
