Whomever is receiving donations on 06/14/2023 around 7pm was EXTREMELY rude. Said to him, "I'll get this one but I'm disabled with bad back pain, so I'll need help with the rest." He tells me he's not taking it. Okay fine, I said, I can't get this back in the car, can you help me? He shrugged, said nope. Ask him once more to please just take it as I've seen WAY worse items being sold and I cannot get it back in the car with my back pain (which was triggered and started causing me to be SEVERELY uncomfortable). This table had only a couple minor surface scratches. It's an antique and almost 100 years old but in fine working order. Of course it will have some minor scuffs on it. But I wasn't going to force it on anybody, I only needed assistance putting it back. I mention to him once more that I'm disabled and struggling. He turns up his AIR PODS, shrugs and walks away. At this point there are cars lining up behind me waiting while I'm just struggling to stand up and losing both my calm and my dignity. I asked for his name. Refused. Asked for a manager, he says he doesn't have one. I ask "So you're all just working here without a supervisor or manager?" He shrugs again and says "Yep."
Which wasn't true because 2 minutes later a manager walks out. Meaning he flat out lied to my face. At this point its starting to rain. She takes the donation. He stood there and watched her struggle to pick it up (she's an older lady) and place it on the curb and despite my severe pain I offer to place it for her since I felt it was the right thing to do, considering her employee just stood there listening to music on his airpods watching us both struggle. I've written to corporate about this and will continue doing so until there is accountability being held. Completely unacceptable.
By the way, my wife still for some reason decided to go into the store to shop. Lots of furniture with much worse scratches being sold. So...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been a regular at this store for quite a while and I must say that I've come across many great finds. However, I give this Savers location (Washington St , N. Attleboro) due to the staff lack of customer service; from the time I've shopped there, I've only met one staff who is polite (have no longer seen this staff in months sadly). Every staff I've encountered have not been welcoming, don't have a approavheable/professional demeanor nor are helpful in situations when you really need their help/assistance; they are very dismissive, and their demeanor towards children is not very kid friendly neither, not even a smile when my little tries to engage with them. In addition, they make you as if you're going a thief; previously they would take the jewerly out and you could take your time looking at what you wanted while they stood there, recently this has changed, yet I've noticed this is done only to some individuals (very selective/judging). I used to donate often and shop often as well, however, due to the aforementioned reasons, I've refrained from donating there and shop with less frequency. I've come to a point where I much rather go to the RI Savers instead. Although they have some good finds, store Is pretty organized considering, and have become more multicultural with their staff, for me and my friends who've felt the same, despite loving a good deal it's simply not worth going...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSuper rude employees and management in North Attleboro, MA location. Went in yesterday with my husband, 5 year old, & 2 babies. Donated items on our way in, right away saw a bigger item we wanted so my husband cashed out for it and put it in the car while we shopped, at the end of our trip we bought a doll from the glass case for my daughters birthday, employee insisted we cash out for it there- ok no big deal, but then the cashier up front apparently advised by her manager SNATCHED it out of my carriage away from my daughter since we hadnāt scanned it, didnāt bother speaking to us like humans to see we had already purchased it and had the receipt- I was also in the middle of scanning items anyway (we cashed out 4 times and spent about $200!) didnāt bother apologizing to us either. My husband called to complain but of course the same employee answered and said her manager told her to do it. SO UNPROFESSIONAL. I understand double checking and asking for a receipt or if youāve forgotten to scan an item but snatching it from a child and openly accusing of theft while weāre legit STILL cashing out? And then not even offering an...
