The food is tasty, but the service has gone downhill in the last months. Today was the THIRD consecutive time that the Uber Eats app let me know that my order was ready to pick up, but was told inside the store that I still had to wait on my food. I waited inside a few minutes but I didn't feel comfortable staying in there too long. Pick ups are only a safe option for people who are super cautious during the pandemic if the food is ready when you get the alert. Otherwise you are just waiting indoors with people who are not wearing masks (i.e., the customers eating inside the store). I decided to go back to my car and asked the front desk guy to let me know when my order was ready. After a few minutes, he went outside with my bag. I thought that moment was the end of my bad experience with the restaurant... but I was super wrong! I got home and realized that my order was incomplete!! They forgot to include the "famous Souvlaki Pita Sandwich" with Greek French fries in my bag! And this was the most expensive item of my order (almost $20). Needless to say, I won't be going back to this restaurant! We liked it so much and we're ordering from them every time we had family in town, but I feel I have given them two many chances already. There are other good places out there. I recommend you also stay away from...
Read moreOk let me preface this by saying I moved to this area right before covid, and came from a heavy Greek neighborhood in nyc. This is my third time trying this restaurant. Twice during covid times which I wasn't upset with but it wasn't what i was expecting but it wasn't bad. My third time, I ordered delivery, first everything was included especially the extra sauce you pay for that everyone everywhere always forgets but we were off to a good start. -Tried the rice pudding, ok ok ok I like it. -Next the soup, which oh my gosh the second you pop that lid smells like a grandma has been cooking it up all day. So I was doing a little dance like even if this is bad it can't be that bad it smells so good. It looks too simple to taste this good. It's amazing, don't pass on the soup just order it like it's an extra sauce. -Moving on we got the standard pork souvlaki sandwich. I opened the lid for a very nice presentation. Tried the pork itself, not bad would have preferred it a little bit more crunchy but that's me. Was happy it was slathered in sauce so I didn't have to do anything. Took a bite of everything and was ok it was satisfying. Mine was kinda cool temp from delivery, so I heated it up and we went from ok to Okayyyyy. Way better when it's nice and warm.
In conclusion I would order again def...
Read moreCame for take-out lunch around noon and pre-ordered through their website, and I am glad I did because there was a line of 15 people waiting to order. I got an order of the grilled lamb chops (that comes with a Greek salad and a side (in my case String Beans with Tomato Sauce) for $22. Because it was Wednesday, I got the $6 gyro pita special (ordered open-faced). The lamb was tender and flavorful, and the Greek Salad excellent. I was not impressed with the string beans and would not order again. My partner had the gyro, which she said was excellent and plentiful. There was plenty of Tzatziki sauce included with both meals. I can see why this place is so popular and, while being a fast casual restaurant with extremely limited indoor seating, had some of the best Greek food anywhere. While easily visible from Nicholson Lane, it is hard to get to. My only criticism is they need better signage for the table where the pick-up orders are located – with all the people in line, it is hard to see. Also, while easily visible from Nicholson Lane with excellent outdoor signage, it is hard to figure out how get to the store. I highly recommend it and will be back (Quality=5, Service/Timeliness=5,...
