Went to Karls appliance because they had the refrigerator I wanted in stock. I talked with a salesman named Shannon. He did everything he could to make the sale. Shannon even said that he would do anything for his customers, as long as they were happy about their purchase. I bought the fridge and got it shipped to the house 3 days later. Upon receiving the unit, I saw that it had huge dents on both sides of the fridge. It looked liked either a forklift clamped it too hard or straps were tightened too much during transport. I called Shannon and told him I was unhappy with the unit. Shannon gave me numerous excuses why the fridge was fine. He said most of his fridges in the store had the same dents and that it was normal. He said that is how they come from the factory because the insulation was done unevenly in places. I'm sure there were other excuses. The bottom line was that although we paid full price for the fridge, what got delivered is what we got. I told him I want an exchange and he said he would not do that. I said that I want money off since in my eyes, it was not a brand new unit. He denied any money back until I said I wanted to return the unit to the store. Shannon came back with 50 dollars back onto the card. I told him that was unreasonable and his last attempt to pass the buck was maybe I would have better luck calling Frigidaire and dealing with their customer service line. Shannon hung up and I never heard another word from him. I called Frigidaire and after going back and forth with them, a new fridge was delivered 3 months later. I tell this story because for the money I spent, ( over $2000.00) I should not be the one to have to do the leg work to get a fridge in the condition that I originally paid for. This experience has left me no other option but to never buy any appliance from Karls ever again. I would get a different product before I go to see Shannon at Karls appliance. I purchased a $1200 Brand New refrigerator at this North Branch location back in Jan 2021 since why not it's local and assuming the good people at this Karl's location will take care of us locals if any issues arises. The brand new refrigerator lasted almost 5 months. Called Karl, their repairmen came out three separate occasions for repairs. And each time they came out supposedly it was fixed and should be working just fine. After the third repair did not resolve the issue (And my refrigerator has not been working for one entire month). I reached out to one of their sales rep to get a loaner refrigerator for the meantime and to see how we will resolve this. It took them 3 days to bring out a loaner fridge. I called back to speak with the manager. The person that I spoke with told me that the manager left for the day and the message will be given to his manager in the morning and something will be done. I waited two entire days no return calls no voicemail. So I reach back out to them in the morning and ask for the manager directly. The manager tells me nobody told me anything there was no message or whatsoever at all. At this point I honestly feel like they were not taking me seriously and valued me less than dog water. So I requested for my money back directly to the store manager. The manager does what he do best and beat around the bush. But at this point you can imagine how I feel. He then tells me okay he can do it since he has refunded a few people before. So I asked him how will I receive my refund? The manager says it will be mailed to you directly. I waited two weeks still no refund check. The manager calls me and says Hi there your check is at the our store Do you want us to mail it to you or do you want to come pick it up? Read moreWe recently purchased a washer and dryer. The appliances themselves are great. Have not gotten to use them yet though due to lack of customer service skills. Very pushy salesman, kept directing us to what HE thought would be best. Convinced my husband to install both the washer and dryer on his own, he told him it was so easy and it would save us $60. So of course we were willing to save a little money after spending $3000. After all the up sells, and dealing with all that in store, we get them delivered 5 days later. Very timely delivery men, very kind. That was about the only pleasant experience we had. My husband goes to install and we are missing pieces to be able to install the dryer and no clear instructions on where the drain hose goes in the washer. So we call the store. The gentleman on the phone was very kind and understanding and told us someone would be out the next day right away in the morning, he said around 9am. So I confirmed (because we live so close) so maybe 9:15isham, and he said YES. By 10am I decided to call to find out why nobody had shown her. Woman on the phone said were in the 9-1 slot and that sometimes things get moved around. Okay....was never told 9-1. Install person did not show up until 2:15pm!!! 5 hours past the tome we were TOLD and 1 hour and 15min past the time slot we were supposedly in. Just to find out they did not have the correct parts (missing a drain hose, which is directly on top of the washer) and he would be back in a day or two. No set time, no specific communication.
