Well where do I start: I emailed Drease McKinney (sales guy) about a blue 2015 Chevy Silverado LT. I told him Friday that I’ll be coming up on Saturday to look at the vehicle. He responded that the truck won’t be there due to the fact that they are going to take the truck to detail the exterior. When he responded on Saturday , I was on my way there already. To my surprise, the truck was still there. It was not on the lot, but on the outlet mall lot. There were clothes in the back seat, a used tissue on the passenger seat, the trunk was full of fire wood and some metal. Cough drops and pennies on the cup holder. I asked to start the truck and get in. Drease goes inside the dealer, comes out with another person (the person using the truck). At this point, I’m like ok... the boss lets his people borrow the used trucks, that’s cool... The guy says, “I told everyone not to show this truck today.” “Don’t worry, I’m not hard on this vehicle.”
We get inside, Drease talks to the Sales Manager.... comes back and asked “were you looking to take the truck today?” If you put money down, we’ll have the guy remove his wood and get the truck cleaned for you? First of all, I thought the car was going out for exterior detailing? That’s why I couldn’t get the truck today.
All in all, first time at North Branch Chevy was super sloppy, unprofessional, and ridiculous. Salesman lied about the vehicle going out, because someone was using it as a personal vehicle. The mileage written on the estimate was less then what was on the actual truck. I was asked to put money down on a truck that someone was going to use over the weekend, because the banks weren’t going to be able to process the check until Monday. I’m ok with the boss letting employees using the trucks as a personal vehicle. That’s pretty cool of the boss but just be straight up about it. As a sales manager, I would have accommodate the customer especially in a stupid situation that y’all put yourself in.
I would have just apologized, and man up. “One of the employees is using the vehicle to do whatever, and we’ll have it back on Monday. We apologize about the inconvenience, but we have other vehicles if you’re still interested. Or we’ll hold the vehicle for you to look at it on Monday. Super sloppy for a...
Read moreI purchased an 08 Enclave in September 29, 2021. It had 100,057 miles. The salesman told me they had just done a lot of work on it. The main thing i was concerned about was that the timing chain had been replaced. The salesman showed me papers that it had been done about 2 weeks before. He said it should be good to go for a long time. I bought the car assuming the timing chain would last at least 100,000 miles. A week after buying it the check engine light came on. I had to replace throttle body, maf, and pcv valve and breather. The pcv valve is a common problem that caused the issue with the other parts. It should have been replaced before I bought it but I let it go. In April of 2022 I had to bring it to a shop for an oil leak. It was leaking oil from the pan seal because it was not sealed properly when the timing chain was done. When they removed the pan they found a piece of plastic that turned out to be part of a timing chain guide. They told us to call NB chev to confirm that the timing chain had been done. My wife called them and they told us it had been done and not to worry about it. That cost me $2,093.51. In November 2021 the car started running strangely and the check engine light came on. December 7th we brought it to NB chev. They found that it needed a full timing chain replacement. I had them do it. The price was $4675.40. When I went to pick it up I spoke with the used car department to see if they would be covering the price of it or at least some of it. They told me instead of doing the chain there before I bought it they had sent it out to someone else. (Which I think is ridiculous) If they had done it there it would still be under warranty but because they sent it out they were unwilling to do anything about it. Because of the poor job done by whoever they sent it to I've had to pay almost $7000 in just over a year and only 20,000 miles. The dealership refused to pay anything. I bought the car because I thought a reputable dealership would do their own work....
Read moreMy wife and I were looking for a 2022 EV Bolt. We originally left a message with Brandon and he responded and we mentioned we would stop by the next day to look at the one they had. The next morning on our way down we found out he had the day off and the sales manager Brian who we dealt with and sold us the car later that day scheduled someone else to meet us when he realized we would be there on Brandon’s off day (Everyone there is great but Brian is a super star as well is Lisa who owns a 2021 Bolt ev who works there and personally spent at least an hour or more with us over 2 separate occasions). So we showed up and met another guy who was nice but knew very little about the electric cars and they kept calling Lisa over to ask questions (she is a sales person also and spent the most time with us other than the sales manager and he did not get the sale. We went to our appointment and stopped by later to put money down on the car. It was frustrating not to k or when a car is going to make it to the dealership when it was done to start with (I understand this is not North Branch’s fault). The delay cost me zero percent for sixty months and I got 3.49% for sixty months because of this inefficiency in the system. Everyone other than Lisa could use a day of EV training on selling to delivery of the car. Brandon is a good sales man and a nice guy but struggled to show us the features… We have beestruggling through on our own to figure it out. We even signed a piece of paper saying we would see under the hood and we never saw where the hood release was and how to pop it before we left the day of pick up. So there are just some training issues and issues like trying to set up the install of a charging station at home that GM would pay up to $1000 of however they promised things that were not available to my car and me. And I could not pre set up like they said… But I understood and extended lots of grace along the way. And so far am...
