Well, I was disappointed when I found out my Frequent Buyer Bucks card was no longer being accepted at Pathways. I had not received any notice in my emails that the cards were going to be discontinued nor did the staff at the Pathways tell me that it was going to be discontinued. Plus, I didn’t see any flyers posted around the store to that effect. Remember, during 2020 Pathways was closed for quite a while due to covid. The N.B. manager said it had been on social media. I asked my friends and family if they had ever used Pathways on FB or Instagram. They said ‘Never.’ And some people, esp. older, don’t have computers. And some were not aware that Pathways had a web site. I hate it when stores use punch cards for purchases and when the card is filled, you present it and they say, “Oh, we aren’t doing that anymore.” Or “We discontinued those.” I had purchased $120 worth of goods and my card was filled. The card would have given me $10 off a purchase which is important for people on limited incomes. My sister-in-law had 2 filled cards, my daughter-in-law had a filled card. And that is in my immediate family so I know other people were also in this situation. How about an amnesty on these cards or converting these bucks into the new electronic digital card points? That would be a win-win for both the buyer and Pathways, fostering goodwill in...
Read moreI went to this store about an hour and a half before close, right before Christmas, to pile up on some much-need clothes to knock out a supply for a good years-worth while the husband watched kids (2 kids under 2 at home, I don't get out shopping and struggle shopping online). While I was rushing, 3 staff members were helping me with items I wasn't purchasing, helping gather items at the counter, and running checkout all so I could get everything I needed. The way these gals cared, busted their butts, stayed late and showered me with nothing but kindness, speaks mountains about the work they do and who they are. Even when speaking to their manager to give positive praise and thanks to these individuals days later, Nicole was just the same - pouring compassion into everything they do. Wow. What an amazing group of people, and if it weren't for them I wouldn't have gotten everything I needed! Thank you for being here, and for the amount of kindness and great things you do for this...
Read moreThis is by far my favorite location to thrift in the North Branch area. The building itself is open and spacious and enjoyable to be in. There is a generous stream of donations coming in regularly, which makes for a fresh selection to browse each time we come. While some have complained about high prices, most items I have encountered are mostly priced fairly, especially considering this establishment goes to great lengths to give back to those in need within the community. I am willing to pay a touch more for that reason alone, though I have found so many items for quite a bargain!
My kiddos also love this place. They would spend hours playing in the toy isle if I let them. The staff has always been pleasant.
In short, I have been here dozens of times in the last few years and have nothing but positive experiences....
