I was looking for a GQ slim fit modern tuxedo for a masquerade ball I had in NYC that same evening. I noticed that morning that the invitation said "Black Tie Optional'" and came to find out all my buddies were wearing tuxedos for the party. I called Men's Warehouse and Jose A Banks and both needed multiple days to suit me (I was happy I did not use them anyway because of the horror stories I've heard from friends about their poor service and poor fit). I am SOOOO lucky I stumbled upon Mark Miller at Boss Tuxedo which I found through Google and reading the great reviews. I called and told Mark I only had 6 hours until the party started and what style I was looking for and he told me he could handle the short notice without a problem and he would have all the alterations completed within time. I ran to his store and met him and was fitted within 15 minutes and let me tell you the God's honest truth... he is an absolute pro at what he does and it clearly shows! I like it when someone shows confidence with their craft and Mark gave me no reason to worry at all. He made me look great that evening. I wound up renting a tuxedo from him that was top notch and I felt and looked like James Bond. I am 5'11" and weigh 218 pounds and this suit made me look like I weighed 190 pounds. This suit fit like a glove and I received nothing but compliments from everyone I saw that night. I was tempted to buy the darn tuxedo I loved it so much. But then realized my weight fluctuates like the wind changes direction, and I realized all I had to do was come in and see Mark whenever I needed to look super fly again so I did not need to buy that tuxedo. I recently got married this year and used Boss Tuxedo for my groomsmen's attire. I selected them because they had the style and color of attire I wanted, so to be fair I will commend them on having an appealing selection. However, as far as professionalism and satisfaction goes, they fell completely short! I encountered 3 main issues: (1) My order was incorrectly placed by Mark (the manager who assisted me, he says this was because he had another customer by the same name (he showed me a receipt to verify this) with a similar order and he mixed the two up orders, simply put this was obviously just a lack of vigilance on his part; (2) the place he order the clothing from sent him clothing in the wrong size and stained, literally all 4 of my guys had something in the wrong size; (3) Mark said " I guarantee you will have the correct size clothing mailed to your hotel the day of the wedding by 8am." This did not happen at all! I received a phone call from the hotel, where the clothing was being mailed, at 12pm advising me the package had just arrived...my ceremony was at 11am. This was probably the most aggravating of the 3 issues. Then when me and two of the groomsmen confronted him on this, in person when we returned the clothing, he dodged the accusation we made to him of making a guarantee he couldn't keep. He eventually, didn't charge us for the vests, which was the clothes mailed to us, but it was a fraction of the total rental cost, and that's all the money we got back.

In essence, this whole awful experience has left my wife and I disappointed and very dissatisfied. I would never recommend using Boss Tuxedo!! If you're looking for satisfactory and professional service I would suggest...

I had my sisters wedding on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving last week. When I went to try on my dress on Sunday (it had been altered by a seamstress elsewhere), it was not fitting me well despite the undergarments. I looked for a local shop and came across Boss Tuxedo. When I called and spoke to Mark, he was kind, professional, and helpful. He told me to come in and he would help to ensure the dress fit properly and ready for my event only 2 days away. I came in, and he was soooo nice! I am so thankful I found this place! Mark ensured that the dress was ready within 24 hours later, and did not even charge extra! He also did a perfect job altering the dress in such a short time frame, which helped to allow me to relax a little bit and be more excited than panicked about the big day. I will definitely be returning to Boss Tuxedo for future alterations, and would HIGHLY recommend Mark and his business. He was a life saver and went above and beyond to help me. In addition, my boyfriend rented a tuxedo, and he made sure it fit PERFECTLY! We had a wedding a few weeks earlier, and the groom picked a specific suit from Men's Warehouse, and he had to go multiple times because they couldn't get the fit right, and then the day of we realized there was a small hole in the pants in between the legs (luckily it was small enough that no one else would notice). With the Tux from Boss Tuxedo, Mark knew the sizing just by looking at him, and the Tux fit perfectly and there were no issues (or unexpected holes).
