Hey! Archie Bunker called, and wants his 1970s decor back!
Put on your plaid pants, your turtleneck, comb your '70s 'stache, and rock on down to a restaurant stuck in a time warp ... yellowed paneling, faded wallpaper, and generic "pizzeria" style decor.
Who cares about that? When it comes to the FOOD, this place is the REAL DEAL. Classic, thin-crust Jersey style pies, with a tangy (not too sweet) fresh sauce. Just enough spices to make it tasty, without blasting away the delicate flavors with too much garlic or salt. The crust is near perfect, thin and crisp with a steamy interior.
Their namesake Margarita pizza is the real winner, but they make a really good regular pie as well. They offer some less traditional, more modern options as well, including a Buffalo style pie featuring sauce from the locally-founded "Cluck U" chicken chain. It's interesting ... most places make a Buffalo style pie with buffalo sauce, cheese, and chicken, and Margarita puts buffalo chicken pieces on top of a regular tomato-sauce-and-cheese pie. It's different, to say the least.
Teasing about the decor aside, they don't need to change a thing. This is what is wrong with most modern chain restaurants - read their press releases, and they continually focus on marketing, branding, updating and refreshing the look of their restaurants ... meanwhile, their food tastes as bland as the packaging it's served in. That's not the case at Margarita, where the food is king and the service is friendly and prompt. ...

Read moreThe pizza is great. The other food sucks. We placed a $100.00 dinner order of chicken parm sandwiches a couple of slices and several grilled chicken salads. The sandwiches were burnt until the point that the chicken was dry. We asked for extra sauce in the sandwiches and there was minimal sauce. The breads that went with the dinner was burnt as well. Sorry to give this review because the owners are very pleasant. It seems like if the owner isn't cooking the food comes out horrible. This has happened several times and will be my last time at this...
