this was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had and I’m not someone that ever writes reviews we walked in and already the family that was there looked miserable because their food hadn’t came in forever and then we ordered and waited. We got that the dahi puri first and the dahi tasted old and the puri was stale and there was a horrible after taste. we ordered the punjabi thaali and chole and a milkshake and all of that was horrendous. the milkshake was milk and ICE blended and one ferrero rocher tossed in not even broken. it tasted like a milk slushi. The paneer was the only good thing in the thaali but everything else was not even edible because it tasted so old. Dont even get me started on how vile the chole was. The lady working there was wobbling around so slowly and barely cared to be there and when i told her the food was very bad and that rhe edison and tennessee location tasts very good and despite being in two different states, the taste is the exact same. She was like no every franchise is different because every chef is different. and then when I proceeded to ask her if they have a Google review system or anything of that or she’s like no we don’t do Google reviews here. We don’t do any type of review here just pay and leave. There was horrible service and they see that the company responds to every single review here and I hope that they really read this one because I don’t need you to say sorry I need you to fire that lady and if she’s the owner, I really hope that your business shuts down because it is horrible and the food is so old. I hope FDA comes and does a sweep of your place when you dont expect it. Horrible place and the lady is even worse than the food

Since it's called Honest, my review might as well be honest; so buckle up... If you're marketing yourself as the quintessential restaurant for pav bhaji and pulav then they better be leagues above the competition. And guess what? They were not good! Infact pav bhaji was dead bland and tasted of haldi, I think even a toddler maybe saying wow... this needs way more spices. Pulav was exactly the opposite; it burned your tongue off. Only saving grace was the manchow soup which was half decent but again nothing to rave about. Considering that they charge $12.99 for meager portions of pav bhaji which is horrible tasting, it's much much much better idea to try out other restaurants in the area which actually serve proper bhaji. Throughly disappointed. Now the service... there is no service which is shocking because the restaurant was empty! At this point I might as well go to the counter and pick up my food... why even pay a tip? Generally speaking Indian restaurants have terrible service, but this one was severely lacking. Ambience is okay and you can get by. Once again, if you're paying these abhorrent prices for meager quantities and subpar quality, why even go there? I guess, I understand now why they were empty on a Saturday.

If there were an option to give -100 stars, even that would feel generous for the kind of atrocity this restaurant calls food. We ordered Chinese Bhel, Schezwan Noodles, Paneer Chilly Gravy, Paneer Angara, and Malai Kofta. What we received was an absolute culinary disaster. The so-called Schezwan noodles were nothing but bland Hakka noodles drowned in soy sauce—an insult to even the word “Schezwan.” The paneer dishes were a joke: undercooked, flavorless, and the paneer itself tasted like it had been dumped into boiling water with zero seasoning. The Malai Kofta was rock-hard instead of soft and delicate—borderline inedible. I spent $127 on this abomination, and every bite felt like daylight robbery. Not only was the food undercooked and tasteless, it showed a complete lack of effort, care, and basic culinary knowledge. Calling this food is an overstatement—it was a disgrace on a plate. This was, without exaggeration, the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy

We browse various restaurants in the area and even overseas. We’ve been to few other Honest before, but particularly this location needs a real pulse check! The woman at the front desk has bad demeanor from the moment we entered. No greetings, not even a smile to guests. 4:30 PM, restaurant was empty apart from a table (couples and a child) who left in few minutes after we came. My husband had to call her to take our order, the first thing this lady, guess her pseudo name is “Shana”, asked us to move our baby’s stroller on side because it would hinder their entryway in condescending manner- instead of greeting us with smile and take our order. Secondly, my husband asked to keep one menu card, so we can order later. She grabbed both away and just pointed to the takeout menu. This would have been handles in customer-centric way, she is unfriendly and unwelcoming. We were 3 adults, and a 4 months old baby (who doesn’t even eat or touch solids), we were charged 15% gratuity on the top of this trashy behavior. Guy who brought our order was friendly and respectful, we won’t deny that. Please have this woman take a vocational course on “Hospitality and Front Desk Representative”, because she has no clue how to behave with guests and create a welcoming atmosphere. Yup, we had to get up and go to the counter to pay, and still being charged 15% forced tips, as if we were given a fine-dining experience. Either make a sign about self-service order or make it a complete dine-in experience, don’t keep in-between, due to your lazy and disrespectful front staff. Keep people who enjoy working with people, hospitable attitude and some social...

Extremely bad customer service!!!! I have given 1 star only because of the quality and fast service of the food. The lady who was taking the order, had huge problems with us doing minor changes on how we wanted a certain appetizer to be plated. Our request involved the vada pav to provided without the pav at first, (in effort to not waste the pav) with only vada and chutney on the side (while we were paying full price). Since my friend went ahead ordered pav bhaaji, I changed my mind and asked her to also give pav (for the vada pav) on the side as well. After that she gave me such a dirty look as if I asked her to redo a completly prepared dish. All of these changes were being made while we were placing the order, nothing had been prepared yet. Also, this involved less efforts on their part, as we were requesting everything on the side, nothing needed to be assembled. Not only did she give us nasty look, she even avoided to serve us after that. There were multiple occasions where we tried to get her attention to order/ request something and she looked past us. It was not like we were taking long time deciding during a very busy time, and making several changes.I don't think we deserved to be treated this way. Left an unwelcomed feeling in our memory, even though food tasted...
