I was excited to try Pizza Twist which offers a variety of unique pizza combinations with traditional Indian flavors, I must say that the execution left much to be desired. I was quite disappointed with the pizza quality. The crust was lackluster and seemed undercooked, lacking the crispy texture that I look for in a good pizza. Although the toppings were promising on the menu, they were not as flavorful as I had hoped. In particular, we ordered the Tandoori and Chicken Tikka pizzas, along with traditional Garlic Bread and Pepperoni pizza.
Firstly, both chicken pizzas lacked flavor and had maybe 2-3 penny-sized chicken pieces on each slice. There was absolutely no flavor of either tikka or tandoori, which was quite disappointing. Additionally, the Garlic Bread lacked the taste of garlic, and the cheese was below par.
Considering the mediocre quality of the pizza, I found the prices to be quite steep. Paying $14 for a medium-sized pizza of this quality did not make me feel that I received good value for my money.
Having said that, I acknowledge that this is a new establishment and may have the potential to improve in making quality Indian-style pizzas. I might consider giving them another try after a couple of months to see if there have been any...
Read moreThe food selection and staff here is great but major downside is that we’re not able to get a straight answer what things on the menu are halal or not. They should be very clear in signage, as I’m told different things by different people. One time I was assured in person everything is halal, another time I was asked over the phone whether I wanted the halal chicken, as they have both halal and non-halal options. Now again in person I was told only their desi items and select other items are halal. Their website doesn’t indicate anything, neither any signs inside.
I think this is a serious issue they need to address and have clear communication on, as they tout themselves to be a halal desi fusion place and anyone would assume the menu would be consistent. I also think their pies are a little smaller for the price, and for the premium we’re paying I would want to know for certainty what I’m eating!
Other than being a little pricey and not consistently halal, the food is very tasty and the staff is very friendly. However I am reluctant to trust them and would not order from them again. A reliable halal meat vendor would be a huge improvement and make this place much...
Read moreExtremely disappointed with the food. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Pizza and Achari Chicken Wings, and what a huge disappointment. First the pizza had so few pieces of chicken. Why? If you’re charging $20 for a medium, I expect more pieces of chicken. Where was the cheese? There was no cheese pull. For the overall taste of the pizza - nothing special, and hardly any taste of Indian flavors. I’m not sure why everyone likes it, but to me I expected so much more flavor and authenticity, but nothing.
The wings were mediocre at best. Again missing the flavor and where was the sauce? Hardly anything on it and the flavor profile was definitely not Achari.
Really disappointed. I’ve posted a picture of another Indian fusion pizza restaurant and look at how much more chicken pieces they give in their Chicken Tikka Pizza. They charge the same price, but so much more plentiful.
Come on Pizza Twist, you...
