I don't recommend going to this place. Don't be fooled by the fake reviews. I strongly recommend avoiding the Bothell location where Dr. Steven Nguyen works. You and your children may be traumatized by the degrading comments from this eye doctor, who is arrogant and very rude. He treated my children as if they were blind. I understand that they are not able to read small fonts from far away, but they can perfectly see larger fonts or anything else from a distance. However, he used insulting words to describe their ability to see from afar. Whenever I asked him a question about my eye exam, he responded arrogantly. Even when he was checking my eyes, he insulted me because I couldn’t tell him which lens was better as he was switching the lenses too quickly. Other places understand that you might not easily tell the difference between two lenses and they give you at least a few seconds between switching lenses. This doctor flips them within a fraction of a second and expects you to tell him which lens is better, otherwise, you face his degrading insults.
Another thing that really surprised me was when I was telling him about a white spot on my eyes, he said it was due to the sun and that I must have had it since childhood. I see my eyes in the mirror every single day, and my wife, family members, and friends can also easily see my eyes. I noticed the spot appearing after something hit my eyes while I was mowing the grass. But he didn’t even want me to tell him when and why it appeared. He insisted that I had it from childhood. It’s quite arrogant for a stranger to tell you what you used to look like as a child. All of my friends and family have seen it change very recently after the accident, but he just refused to listen to me or let me explain how it started. He used multiple rude words, which I can’t list all here. It was one of the worst eye exam visits that I’ve ever had at this place.
Also, this place violates HIPAA regulations. They should be sued. I have witnessed the violation with my own eyes. Bellow is a response to Dr. Steven Nguyen. Instead of acknowledging his mistakes , he responded to my review suggesting to have second opinion. He is acting as if what I am complaining is about a regular difference of Doctors opinion. This clearly shows how this doctor is disconnected from reality. I am complaining about how arrogant, disrespectful he was when he was treating me and my kids. He doesn't want to hear any thing from my side at all to even explain what happened to me. He also insults while...
Read moreI recently had a frustrating experience with Comfort Vision in Bothell that I feel compelled to share. My wife had been experiencing vision issues after her last visit to the clinic. Concerned, we scheduled a follow-up appointment today to address the problem. To our surprise, the doctor informed us that her prescription had changed, and we were asked to pay an additional fee.
When we questioned why this wasn’t caught or handled properly during the visit last week, and how a prescription could change in just a week, the clinic initially stood by the charge. Only after pressing the issue and voicing our dissatisfaction did they agree to waive the $50 fee. While we appreciate that gesture, it doesn’t address a larger concern: What about the test conducted last week? If it was incorrect, who takes responsibility for that error? What if we had ordered a pair of glasses with that prescription?
As patients, we place our trust in healthcare providers to deliver accurate and professional care. This experience left us questioning the accountability and quality of service at Comfort Vision. I hope they take steps to ensure such issues don’t occur for other patients...
Read moreI hate going to the eye doctor, so I put it off forever. And finally I made an appointment, and I wasn't disappointed. This office is a little quiet oasis compared to Costco, where I had been going. They have strict covid precautions, and you call before you go inside. They do tests in one room, including taking a picture of my eye vs the puff test, and then took me back to another room to see the doctor. I explained that I have sensory issues and getting new glasses is difficult for me because it's hard for me to adjust to them. the conversation I had with him was incredibly informative, understanding and empathetic. He clearly explained all of my options and allowed me to make the choice. Then he explained all of this again to the optician in the front who helped me pick out some really nice, comfortable glasses. I received the glasses in a week and even went back to get them adjusted. Everyone in this office is incredibly polite, professional, and on your side. adjusting to the new glasses wasn't easy, but because I knew what was happening and why, I stuck it out. I would definitely recommend this place...
