UPDATE...
May 24, 2021: Tried to price match an item and was told that the price match had to include the cost of shipping (not true). item + shipping = price they stated they would match. I asked the employee to show me where this was stated in DSG’s price match guarantee and whether this was a recent change. They stated that it had always been the policy (not true). They then called a manager. The manager (same one as below) lied and pointed to a section about price matching on delivery and assembly (I was buying a lure). That section of the FAQ is designated for large appliance installation where the cost of delivery and assembly is usually high and can be reduced as a perk (see screenshot below, highlighted section). It has nothing to do with “pricing in” the cost of shipping. I called corporate customer service and they confirmed that the price match guarantee applies to the item itself and that shipping should never be added when calculating the price match cost. I noted the section of the website I was shown (screenshot below) and they stated definitively that this has nothing to do with incorporating shipping costs into the matched price.
If you ask for a price match, they will almost certainly do this to you. Be careful! Not sure why this store is so off but my guess is it is due to local leadership trying to cut corners and deny qualifying requests for price matching and exchanges/returns to boost their performance metrics. Again, one star.
May 20, 2021: One star for poor customer service and support. Tried to return a defective fishing rod and was told I could not return or exchange the item without paying extra for the protection plan at the initial purchase. Was repeatedly told that rods fell under a special category. Hard to believe a word they say at this store (see update above).

They littlerly keep hanging up in my face now that my order got cancelled again. I was told my items were put off to the side for me to order online and pick up I drove there with my newborn baby and they are acting like they have no clue what I’m talking about. The employees act like children littlerly said “ I dnt know who your talking about bye” and hung up in my face while driving there. I am a manager at a different store not dicks and I would never treat a customer this way. I would never tell a customer I am holding there items to buy them and then have someone drive over there for there order to be canceled and then everyone in the store to be looking at my like I’m crazy. I’m calling to speak to a manger and they keep hanging up in my face. Read moreI went into one of your local stores in ct. I went in to just look around with nothing I had to purchase. I walked passed a hunting item that had a large buy on get one free sign below it. The product was on the bottom shelve and the sign was right below it with the products name on it. It was deal that you also ran last year. I put a few in my cart and proceeded to the register. When I get there they told me that it was not on sale. I said ok and walked back to the Isle to look. I heard the cashier mention over the radio I was coming back. Within the the 3 minute walk from the register to the Isle the sign was no longer there. I asked to speak to the manager and he said none of his employees touched it. However, this was a lie because I physically seen the sign. I will no longer shop at any of your stores due to this horrible customer service. I am on the military and integrity is huge. Gordon the manager did nothing but tell me he cannot do anything and that the conversation is over. What manager of a store says that? Every state that the military sends me to I will be sure to tell this story of how I was treated and this was handled. No more money will be spent at this store I will drive to cabelas and bass pro.
